Series: Addicted #1
Genre: NA Contemporary Romance

No one would suspect shy Lily Calloway’s biggest secret. While everyone is dancing at college bars, Lily stays in the bathroom. To get laid. Her compulsion leads her to one-night stands, steamy hookups and events she shamefully regrets. The only person who knows her secret happens to have one of his own.

Loren Hale’s best friend is his bottle of bourbon. Lily comes at a close second. For three years, they’ve pretended to be in a real relationship, hiding their addictions from their families. They’ve mastered the art of concealing flasks and random guys that filter in and out of their apartment.

But when they go on a family boat trip, surrounded by open seas and limited male bodies in sight, Lily’s confronted with a big fear. Only one guy onboard can fill her addiction, and she’s sworn off going there with Loren Hale ever again.

Now the only person who can truly help her can barely help himself.

I read the blurb of this book and thought it would be a bit of fun. But it was more than that, it was about 2 people who have an addiction and what they do to keep their secrets from their families and anyone else they let into their lives.

Lily is addicted to sex, the first chapter begins with her waking up in an unfamiliar bed and planning her escape. As we learn throughout the book, it is a common thing for her, but slowly we are able to see how deep this addiction is and the lengths that she goes to satisfy her urges. Her true self is hidden underneath and on the outside you can see a pretty girl doing her best to pass her college courses.

Lo, (Loren) has an addiction too, in the form of Booze. It is so bad that he even has it hidden in his room. Now Lo is a VERY attractive guy, but has eyes only for alcohol, and maybe his bestfriend, Lily. From reading through their story, he seems very supportive of Lily but his moods are swinging more than usual and Lily starts to question what he’s really thinking.

It is hard to grasp the depth of both their addictions, as I don’t have one that bad, (although the amount of books I read could count) but I thoroughly enjoyed this story. It is based on some major topics that can affect our lives. After reading Addicted To You I think I understand a bit of what it would be like for a sex addict or any addict for that matter. Like any high it would be hard to refrain from it.

The Authors have written an incredible book that will touch so many people. I was in tears by the end and am eager to find out what happens next. I experienced both the High’s and Low’s along with the characters. We are introduced to some fantastic people who turn out to be great support for this damaged couple, and in the end they are able to find courage within themselves. August cannot get here soon enough!

I received a copy of this book from the Author in exchange for an honest review.
