Excerpt ~ Fake It by Jennifer Chance

Jennifer Chance and Loveswept are thrilled to share the hot cover and first-look teaser of FAKE IT, the second book in the Rule Breakers series published by Loveswept!

Title: Fake It
Author: Jennifer Chance
Series: Rule Breakers #2
Genre: Contemporary Romance
Expected Publication: July 1st 2014

As her sizzling new series continues, Jennifer Chance sparks some serious combustion between a sexy biker and a corporate go-getter who’s ready to let her hair down.

New grad Anna Richardson works hard—so hard that she’s given up having a romantic life. Anna has even convinced her friends that she’s dating an amazing guy—who they’ve simply never met. But now Anna has a wedding to attend and needs to produce the hottie she’s been lying about for the past six months. Enter Jake Flynn, her infuriating, motorcycle-riding, jaw-droppingly gorgeous neighbor, who’s more than willing to fake it for a weekend. In fact, Jake won’t be satisfied until things get real.

Though Jake is only playing the role of adoring boyfriend, he’s starting to feel the heat, and judging by Anna’s sweet blush, so is she. Letting chemistry this intense go to waste would be a real shame. Soon, though, the thin line between fantasy and reality fades. Jake may not be what every buttoned-up fast-tracker wants, but he’s sure as hell what Anna needs. And if she takes a ride with him, their adventure never has to end.

I’ll share news, post a recap of the past week and tell you what will be happening on my blog in the week ahead. I will also tell you about the books and goodies that I have managed to pick up.
I celebrated a great Easter with the family last weekend. It was nice to catch up with my Mum and Grandmother for a nice lunch. However, the following day I started coming down with a cold, which has knocked the wind out of me. The kids have returned to school and I am struggling to catch up on comments left on my blog. Hopefully things will be back to normal soon.

I will start the second assessment in my course this week too! May as well dive right into the next one after doing so well with the first. But I will try and get around to my favourite blogs when I can! Have a fab week guys!

I LOVED this book and just had to share some thing with you today! I love books from the Males perspective and I Loved reading about Dimitri!! Check it out!!

Syd lifts an eyebrow. “I thought you were going to call me when you returned?”
“I just got home.” I step back as she pushes inside. “Some people sleep, Syd.”
She clunks her purse onto the coffee table. “I can't. Do something about it.”
I shut the door and lock it behind me as I check her out. Her skirt is basically streamers. She's wearing fishnets, ass-kicking boots, and so many layers hoisting up her cleavage, I can't even begin to guess how many wrappings I'll be undoing. Thank you, Santa Clause.
I cross the room and snag her around the waist. My hand goes to the back of the head, pulling her in for a hard, heavy kiss.
By some act of auto-navigation, we wind up on my bed. I'm on top of her, both of us still clothed because we can't seem to unlatch our mouths. She wraps her legs around my waist, and I realize just how little her actual skirt covers.

The first night after Caroline moves into her fantastic new San Francisco apartment, she realizes she's gaining an intimate knowledge of her new neighbor's nocturnal adventures. And since Caroline is currently on a self-imposed dating hiatus, and her neighbor is clearly lethally attractive to women, she finds her fantasies keep her awake even longer than the noise. So when the wallbanging threatens to literally bounce her out of bed, Caroline, clad in sexual frustration and a pink baby-doll nightie, confronts Simon Parker, her heard-but-never-seen neighbor. The tension between them is as thick as the walls are thin, and the results just as mixed. Suddenly, Caroline is finding she may have discovered a whole new definition of neighborly...

Anyway, it was a cheap fix, so I am finally catching up on the housework… But I am a bit behind on blogging!! So I am rushing to get this post done before Easter!! Lol

The Good News I received late last week was that I passed my first assessment!! Whoop whoop!! Managed to score myself a distinction too!! And for those that don’t know, I’m doing a Proofreading and Editing course, so I was pretty excited.

I few things this week, but I haven’t been home, so I have stayed away from both Amazon and NetGalley… GASP… I know, shock horror huh??

What I do have is this ring on my finger that Max says he gave me, and this much-thinner body I’ve dreamed of most of my life. Aside from a case of retrograde amnesia, everything seems almost...perfect.

But the deeper I immerse myself into this new world of mine—planning a wedding to a man I don't remember dating, attempting to run a business I don't remember starting—the clearer it becomes that nothing is as it seems. Do I have the life I’ve always wanted or is it a facade propped up by secrets I don't even know I have?

I need answers before I marry Max, and the only person who seems to have them is the angry, tatted, sexy-as-sin rocker Nate Crane. And Nate wants me for himself.
