Book Description

Some things are worth waiting for…

Traveling thousands of miles from home to enter college is the only way nineteen-year-old Avery Morgansten can escape what happened at the Halloween party five years ago—an event that forever changed her life. All she needs to do is make it to her classes on time, make sure the bracelet on her left wrist stays in place, not draw any attention to herself, and maybe—please God—make a few friends, because surely that would be a nice change of pace. The one thing she didn’t need and never planned on was capturing the attention of the one guy who could shatter the precarious future she’s building for herself.

Some things are worth experiencing…

Cameron Hamilton is six feet and three inches of swoon-worthy hotness, complete with a pair of striking blue eyes and a remarkable ability to make her want things she believed were irrevocably stolen from her. She knows she needs to stay away from him, but Cam is freaking everywhere, with his charm, his witty banter, and that damn dimple that’s just so… so lickable. Getting involved with him is dangerous, but when ignoring the simmering tension that sparks whenever they are around each other becomes impossible, he brings out a side of her she never knew existed.

Some things should never be kept quiet…

But when Avery starts receiving threatening emails and phone calls forcing her to face a past she wants silenced, she’s has no other choice but to acknowledge that someone is refusing to allow her to let go of that night when everything changed. When the devastating truth comes out, will she resurface this time with one less scar? And can Cam be there to help her or will he be dragged down with her?

And some things are worth fighting for…

My Review

Jennifer L Armentrout has quickly become one of my favourite authors in the Paranormal Genre. So I was super excited to read something of J. Lynn (Pen name) in the contemporary romance genre and again, I was not disappointed! Wait For You is a magnificent story of secrets, attraction and heart ache and how two people have to work through it, so they can move on in their lives.

I liked Avery almost immediately. She likes to keep things in order, sets her days out so things run to plan and is very independent. Like all things though, all the best laid out plans don’t go that way. So when she finds herself running late to class due to traffic and literally runs into Cam, her life is thrown into turmoil! Watching this first encounter was humourous and I couldn’t help but giggle at the situation, until Avery fled the scene.

As mentioned in the blurb above, Avery has some secrets that have prevented her from the person that she was. She has learned that she cannot rely on anyone as people were quick to shun her in her home town, so she is the type of person to avoid conflict. This story shows how one broken girl can do the best that she can to turn things around.

Cameron is Amazing!! I was swooning for him and really trying to picture the piece of man candy that he is. He has a bit of that bad boy persona, but there is so much good in him that had me melting!! He is thoughtful and considerate but has secrets of his own too.

The whole book is from Avery’s POV and there was so much emotion written into this book. There were times that I laughed, cried and giggled like a love-sick teenager along with Avery. The characters were believable and I found the story mesmerizing! I loved it and will definitely be getting some more J. Lynn books in the future!!
