Review - Down To You by Michelle Leighton

To celebrate the release of Up To Me this week, I thought I would post my review for Down To You, to get us all in the mood for the next book!! I hope you like it!!

Title: Down to You
Author: M.Leighton
Series: The Bad Boys #1
Genre: Adult Contemporary Romance
Published: September 21st 2012

Book Description

The scorching tale of one girl, two brothers and a love triangle…that’s not.

Olivia Townsend is nothing special. She’s just a girl working her way through college so she can return home to help her father run his business. She’s determined not to be the second woman in his life to abandon him, even if it means putting her own life on hold. To Olivia, it’s clear what she must do. Plain and simple. Black and white.

But clear becomes complicated when she meets Cash and Nash Davenport. They’re brothers. Twins.

Cash is everything she’s always wanted in a guy. He’s a dangerous, sexy bad boy who wants her in his bed at any cost. He turns her insides to mush and, with just one kiss, makes her forget why he’s no good for her.

Nash is everything she’s ever needed in a guy. He’s successful, responsible and intensely passionate. But he’s taken. Very taken, by none other than Marissa, Liv’s rich, beautiful cousin. That doesn’t stop Olivia from melting every time he looks at her, though. With just one touch, he makes her forget why they can never be together.

Black and white turns to shades of gray when Olivia discovers the boys are hiding something, something that should make her run as far and as fast as she can. But it’s too late to run. Olivia’s already involved. And in love. With both of them.

Both brothers make her heart tremble. Both brothers set her body on fire.

She wants them both.

And they want her.

How will she ever choose between them?

My Review

I love ANYTHING that Michelle Leighton writes, whether it is Paranormal or not, so it comes as no surprise that I loved this book too. Michelle’s writing is addictive, witty, HOT and she writes the best one liners ever! And I need to tell you my new favourite word is DEASSHOLIZATION!! Haha!! Good one Michelle!!

We meet Olivia first, where she is at a club for her friend’s hens party. So right from the beginning you can tell it is going to be a fun book- girls, drinking, stripper, what else can we ask for? She is usually the quiet girl but is put under pressure as the Hen, Shawna, freaks out when the stripper comes, so Olivia steps up. It is sooo HOT and you can’t help but be absorbed into the writing!! I got to the second paragraph before I cracked up.... but drunken Ginger has heaps of great things to say, like-

“What stays in the VIP room happens in the VIP room.”

Yep, just like that, because all she wants to do is “Get her freak on!” She is straight to the point that one!!

What can I say about Cash and Nash, but ARGH!! I want one; either of them would be fine with me!! Cash is the bad boy, but seems to be on the straight and narrow, running his own business and is able to separate business and pleasure. Olivia always falls for the bad boys, so it’s obvious that she will find him attractive. We see Cash struggle with his emotions in regards to Olivia too.

Nash has always been the smarter brother and his goal has always been to be a successful Lawyer. That is how he met Marissa, Olivia’s cousin, as Nash works at her father’s Law Firm. But even his feelings are in turmoil after he meets Olivia. He has always thought of Marissa as the one, but Olivia turns him inside-out.

The more time Olivia spends with each brother, the more attraction she feels for them both. But when some secrets are revealed the plot takes a deeper twist. The chemistry between them is amazing and the storyline is fantastic, and it has a further twist at the end of the book.... so we will see more of Olivia and her men!! I CAN’T WAIT!!

About the Author....

M. Leighton is a native of Ohio, but she relocated to the warmer climates of the South, where she can be near the water all summer and miss the snow all winter. Possessed of an overactive imagination from early in her childhood, Michelle finally found an acceptable outlet for her fantastical visions: writing fiction. Thirteen of Michelle's novels can now be found on Amazon, as well as several other sites. She's currently working on sequels, though her mind continues to churn out new ideas, exciting plots and quirky characters. Pick one up and enjoy a wild ride through the twists and turns of her vivid imagination.

About Michelle:  I love coffee and chocolate, even more so when they are combined.  I'm convinced that one day they could be the basis for world peace.  I also love the color red and am seriously considering dying my hair.

I just bought this too, once I got past staring at that cover. I'm sure your review said something great, but it was hard to focus when present with such lovely abs :) I also picked up a couple of her free books. You like her writing so much, I can't wait to check them out. I have some gift card money to burn, any other suggestions?
