MARCH WRAP-UP

Hi all! I am running sooooo far behind on posts, that I thought it was time to play catch up. So over the next few weekends I'm going to catch up on my Monthly Wrap Up's and hopefully get back to date!

So, life wrap up...
In March was my 16th Wedding anniversary! We celebrated by having a kid free weekend at the Towong Picnic Races! (A small horse racing event) It was nice to get away!
The kids participated in the local Fun Run, Jord's was the first female back in the 5km... not bad for a 12 year old!
Our little puppy ate rat bait... so it was touch and go, but she survived!

The New York Times bestselling author of the “swoonworthy and addicting” (Kim Karr, New York Times bestselling author) Wind Dragons Motorcycle Club series is back with more bad boy bikers in this first novel in the Cursed Ravens Motorcycle Club series.

Erin Dawson had the perfect life growing up in a perfect home with a perfect family. Her parents gave her and her sister everything a child could want. But after learning that the man she’s called “dad” her whole life isn’t actually her biological father, Erin is determined to find the man who is.

Armed with her original birth certificate, she finds her father, but begins questioning if her mom had been right all along to keep this information buried. It turns out he is the president of a motorcycle club, which could not be further from the life Erin leads. But, she’s determined to get to know the man who she gets her striking blue eyes from. Despite getting what she wants and finding her biological father, it’s the slightly older, much rougher but incredibly sexy biker Ace that catches Erin’s eye.

As the new “princess” of the Cursed Ravens, Erin is learning a whole new world, but her father has made it clear she is off limits. Will Ace follow his President’s orders or will he put his heart ahead of his duty? A sizzling tale of family and passion, Ace of Hearts features Fernando’s signature “snark and sass” (Booklist) and is perfect for fans of Kristin Ashley.

My first introduction to Chantal Fernando's writing was the Wind Dragons MC series, and I have continued to enjoy each book that she has published. This new biker series has been entertaining too, and I've loved getting to know new characters, as well as getting a small glimpse of a character from the first series!

Right from the opening chapter where Erin walks into the Cursed Ravens MC I knew she was going to be a character I was going to enjoy reading about. She was willing to go after what she wanted and would stand up for herself when needed. She formed long term friendships quickly and fell into the MC world easily.

Ace was the typical biker that I expected him to be. He was tough and intimidating, and he knew what he wanted as soon as he laid eyes on Erin. It was amusing seeing him struggle with his connection with Erin as she was supposed to be left alone, but he realised he couldn't fight his heart!

I really enjoyed being in this world. It was good to see that Erin continued to have a good relationship with her family and kept her previous friendships while still making new friends. I like that the Cursed Ravens MC aren't as bad as some out there, but I'm still not 100% sold on them being so good. Chantal Fernando always creates characters that I want to know more about. The world feels realistic and her writing is so fluent and easy to get lost in. I saw a glimpse of a character that was introduced in the Wind Dragons MC series, and I'm hoping we get to know more about her soon!

These two were so good together, the connection was definitely there from the very beginning!

He gently pushes me back into my room and closes the door behind us, this time pressing the lock.
“Is that what this is? Connection?” he asks me, sounding doubtful.
Before I can reply though, he lowers his head, cupping my cheeks in his warm, rough palms, and kisses me. Gentle at first, soft and sweet. Unsure. All that soon changes as we melt into the kiss, his lips becoming demanding, greedy. His tongue slips inside my mouth, and his hands move from my face to my waist, pulling me closer. I moan as he dips me back, my back arching, like in a romantic movie. His thumbs caress my hips, and I’m lost in the sensations.

Good Girl by Jana Aston ~ Review & Swoon Thursday (@JanaAston)

If Jana Aston writes a book, there is a fair chance I'm going to get it! I love her amusing romances and billionaires falling for young virgins! I cannot wait for what she delivers next!

I’ve always been a good girl.
I work hard, I follow the rules, I always achieve my goals.

But sometimes good girls want things that aren’t good for them.
Or someone who isn’t good for them.
Like their new boss.

And sometimes they do very bad things to get his attention.
Like sell their virginity in an auction.

Who knew he’d be so very, very mad?
Maybe this was not my best laid plan…

Freakin' Jana! She has nailed it once again with Good Girl! It was a hilarious and quirky read that I devoured so quickly I will need to read it again! I love the humour that she injects into her reads and the sizzling chemistry between her characters!

Ahhh, Lydia... the nerdy 22 year old virgin. After running into Rhys and he kisses the hell out of her, she wants him to be her first! She was a different girl through school, but I think it was because she was more focused on doing the best she could and boys didn't come into the picture. So it was amusing to see how different she was when she was fighting for a guy she wanted and she set Rhys up! He was unsure of what he wanted, and it was definitely a push/pull relationship in the beginning until she forced him to decide.

Now lets talk about Rhys; the rich and sexy-as-hell-man who made my toes curl every time he was near Lydia. He knew what he wanted, didn't think he should have it, but took it anyway! I loved his dirty talk, his bossiness and the way he took control. It was good to see inside his head, and why he was struggling with his feelings for Lydia.

I just loved this book and read it so quickly! Even though the situation was well and truly out of the norm, it was still hilarious to read about! I enjoyed the building chemistry between these characters and that they both had good friends they could rely on when needed (or not needed sometimes!). Jana Aston knows how to deliver a funny and sexy read that will always have me coming back for more! Let's just hope that we return to this world!

These two were so fun to read about. You'll see the chemistry and the humour in this snippet!

Rhys has rounded the bar while I babbled and now he's stopped directly in front of me. He places a finger under my chin and tilts my head up, placing a soft kiss on my lips.
"Why are you doing this to me?" he whispers in my ear. He doesn't seem so mad anymore.
"Is it happening right now? Are we doing the sex?"
"We're most definitely doing the sex," he confirms and takes my hand in his.

Jana AstonJana Aston likes cats, big coffee cups and books about billionaires who deflower virgins. She wrote her debut novel while fielding customer service calls about electrical bills, and she's ever grateful for the fictional gynecologist in Wrong that readers embraced so much she was able to make working in her pajamas a reality.

Jana's work has appeared on the NYT, WSJ and USA Today bestsellers list, some multiple times. She likes multiples.
