EARLY REVIEW ~ London Falling by Chanel Cleeton

Title: London Falling
Author: Chanel Cleeton
Series: I See London #2
Genre: NA Contemporary Romance
Expected Publication: July 7th 2014

We weren't a relationship, we were a ticking time bomb...

Maggie Carpenter walked away from the hottest encounter of her life when she left the seductive glitz of England for summer break in her South Carolina hometown. Now that she’s returned to the International School in London—and sexy, privileged Samir Khouri is once again close enough to touch—she can’t help but remember the attraction, the drama … the heartbreak.

She can’t help but want him even more.

Samir can’t afford to fall for someone so far removed from his world, not when his time in London is running out. It's his senior year—his last chance at freedom before he returns home to Lebanon. There, he’ll be expected to follow in his father’s footsteps—not follow his heart to Maggie. But when a scorching secret hookup becomes a temptation neither can resist, they’ll both have to fight to survive the consequences … and find a future together.

Don’t miss this explosive sequel to I See London, and the riveting conclusion to Maggie and Samir’s story. This is a New Adult romance recommended for readers 17 and up.

I love it when I can pick up a sequel – a few months after I finished the first book – and I can fall straight back into the world like I read the first book yesterday. I liked the plot and the characters so much that they were still fresh in my mind. Chanel Cleeton also has an easy writing style that I like so it was exciting to go back to London and see Samir and Maggie face new challenges.

London Falling is slightly different from the first book as we follow both Maggie and Samir's perspectives. Maggie is struggling with her feelings about Samir and how he has an arranged marriage planned. Her friends are great support and try and take her mind off things by going on trips and taking her out, but her feelings are quite intense. Maggie also has some parental issues and finds it hard to share her feelings with the people she loves.

Samir is not sure whether he wants to follow through with the arranged marriage, and is contemplating if he can pursue his relationship with Maggie. She challenges him at every turn and sees right to his soul. His family life is quite complicated as he is expected to step up in his father’s footsteps and return to Lebanon. Samir is such a sweet person behind the spoilt boy that he portrays himself to be. Some of the things he does were sweet and I just love the passion he has.

When they do get together, you can see how much they have in common and how they complement each other. Samir's family and politics are always a big problem between them. Toward the end of the book I wanted to shake them both, but in the end I was happy how things were between them. I can see a hint of another book on the horizon… Fleur! I am going to enjoy that one!

Review ~ I See London

  1. Samir sounds great to read about. Thanks for putting on my radar

  2. Oh yes. That is such a good feeling. Love when that happens. And what a great title. Glad to hear you enjoyed it Naomi!

  3. This sounds great, Naomi! Samir and Maggie are definitely going on my wishlist ;)

  4. Glad you were able to get right back into those feels. That's why I hate when books are spread out like a year or more, sometimes it causes those feelings to diminish.

  5. I'm so happy you loved this one as much as the first, Naomi. Samir and Maggie seem like great characters - the 'more than meets the eye' kind. I like those kinds of characters. London Falling will be joining its predecessor on my tbr. ;)

  6. He is! I totally love him and his cocky attitude! Maggie is great for him!

  7. I did Anna! It was a fun series and I loved being with these two!

  8. I hope you get to read them one day! They were a frustrating pair to read about at times, but I liked them!

  9. You would enjoy this Chanzie! Was a lot of fun being in London!

  10. I agree, and it is harder to remember what happened. This was fun!

  11. That's good, I know you'd enjoy these two. They are a fun couple and have a few issues to work through, but worth it in the end!

  12. I didn't really like the first one. I wonder if I'd like this one better since it has both POVs. Maybe.

  13. MAybe, but it if you didn't like it, I wouldn't force it. I liked Fleur though, would be good to see her get a book1
