Lily LeBlanc isn’t versed in the art of casual sex, but after seven years in an on-again, off-again relationship, she’s definitely willing to give it a shot. And who better to try it with than her best friend’s boyfriend’s best friend? What could possibly go wrong?

NHL player, Randy Ballistic, lives up to his last name on the ice and in the bedroom. His best friend and teammate has recently given up the puck bunnies and traded them in for a real girlfriend. And she just happens to have a seriously feisty, extra-hot best friend on the rebound. Randy’s more than happy to be Lily’s spring board back into the dating scene.

But casual sex is only casual until those pesky things called emotions get involved. Once that happens, someone’s bound to get pucked over.

The Pucked series has been a favourite of mine since I picked up the first book in 2015. Pucked Over is the first book that I listened to on Audio, narrated by Rose Dioro & Jacob Morgan. I felt that some of Rose's narration was a little drawn out in some spots, and would've preferred it to be more fluent instead of the longer than necessary pauses. But otherwise I found it quite a pleasant book to listen to.

The story though, it was fantastic! Randy was a character that I've liked since Pucked Up and I was wondering whether he could be tamed. Randy had a vulnerable side, and it was sad to see that he thought so little of himself and that he believed he was too much like his father. But he had that cocky, fun side that I love too, and it was entertaining to see him with Lily.

Lily annoyed me a little in the previous book, with the way she influenced Sunny. However, I liked her in Pucked Over, as she was trying to find herself, and was determined not to fall back into the toxic relationship that she had with Benji. She enjoyed spending time with Randy, and clearly they were compatible, but she's not the fling type of girl. I liked that she was independent, and worked hard for everything that she had.

Helena Hunting has a magical way of drawing me into her stories and I thoroughly enjoy her writing style. The alternating perspectives in Pucked Over helped me to understand both Randy and Lily's insecurities as well as what they were feeling about one another. It was great to see the other couples from the previous books and to see something going on between Lance and Tash (which I need to know more about). I loved how it all wrapped up and I'm keen to get my hands on the next book!

Two quotes again today... a fun one and a sweet one. I loved how nice Randy could be!

I can’t tell whether his grin is sheepish or smug. “We could have a sleepover, with a naked pillow fight and everything.”
“Those are my favorite!” I clap my hands together and bounce in my seat.
“Awesome.” His smile widens. “Mine, too.”
But seriously, if he wants to have a naked pillow fight with me, I’m all over that. After my legs are shaved.

“I thought you said you weren’t coming out,” she says.
I shrug, holding the door open, and follow after her. There’s a small sedan with a guy leaning against the hood. I open the passenger door, toss her bag inside, and usher her in. She looks a little disappointed, until I slide in beside her.
“What’re you doing?”
“Coming along so I can have more time with you.”
