My Review

The Knight of the Rose continues on from where the first book finishes, with Ara and David struggling to come to terms with what David’s destiny has set into play. Their love for one another is undeniable however they can’t have what they desire the most. With the arrival of Ara’s best friend Mike from Australia, Ara’s emotions are thrown into a spin as he says the three words that will tear her heart in two.

This book had me in a bit of turmoil!! I was so on board with David after book one, but during TKOTR after meeting Mike, I fell in love with him too!! His number 1 priority has always been Ara and coming to New England after hearing her confess that she is in love with another guy must’ve been hard for him. They have been Best friends for a long time and know each other better than anyone else. Mike is sweet, kind and a great protector for Ara. He has never seen her scars, only the beauty underneath. David and Mike don’t meet each other until near the end of the book and I would’ve like to see them confront each other as they both love Ara with everything they can and they are both great guys!! It is so hard to pick a team!!

Ara continues to grow in this book. Everything that she has been through has shaped her to be a beautiful person. However she has more challenges ahead in this book. David all but disappears after Mike arrives and so her emotions are running around like crazy. She has a big heart but is there room for both of these men in there?

I really enjoyed this book even though it didn’t have as much of a paranormal element to it, like book one. We know David is a vampire, but otherwise it could’ve been just about a girl who has 2 guys in her heart, and is trying to choose between them. It was more about the relationships of the main characters and how Ara had to decide to go with her heart or mind. The plot was intense towards the end and the emotional content ran high, but I would love more action!! It is a well written book and after that ending I am intrigued to see what will happen now!!

I received a copy of this book from the author (during a tour) in exchange for an honest review.

I just loved this one too. There's one scene.... and oh gawd, now I don't remember if it was this book or book 3. I'll keep quiet lol.

But I don't like Mike!!!! I don't care if he is nice and good for her blahhhh. I want David.

And I've made the mistake of looking into the future, and following the FB page too much. I know who she ends up with, but I have no idea how or why she gets to that point. I need to catch up, pronto!
