My Review

OMG!! Where to begin? The Eternity Cure was an unbelievable second book to the series!! I was mesmerized from the very beginning and found it extremely difficult to put it down!! If I didn’t have to attend to my duties of being a wife and a mother, I would have locked myself away from the world and read it from cover to cover!

The story continues on after the end of The Immortal Rules, the world is still in turmoil and Allie is on the trail of her maker, Kanin, who has been Vamp-napped by a psycho vamp and is being continually tortured and dragged across the country. Her first goal is to rescue him and then she hopes that together they may be able to find a cure.

Allie’s character has continued to develop during this book. She knows that she cannot survive without human blood, but is not a ruthless killer. Those who cross her are the only ones that she hunts. The time on her own has hardened her, but she is still a good person. She spends some of her time reminiscing about Zeke, the guy she left behind in the first book, but she is focused on her goal.

We cross paths with some memorable characters from the first book and some that surprised me!! I would love to run through them with you, but it would give too much away. Let’s just say that there are friends who become enemies, villains who become allies and bad guys who are still nasty!

Kagawa kept me on the edge of my seat from start to finish. I was constantly guessing the direction of the story and often questioning who Allie could trust. It was a bit of an emotional story in the end and it is far from over. The plot building was amazing and I was caught in the scene building constantly, she is very descriptive in building the surroundings. The characters are great and they each have their flaws, but together they function as an amazing team! By the final page I had tears in my eyes and now I will be hanging for the next book. ARGH!!

Thank you to Harlequin Australia for supplying me with a copy of this book, in exchange for an honest review.
