Bryce by Lauren Runow and Jeannine Colette ~ Review & Swoon Thursday (@LaurenRunow @jeannineColett)

This is the second book by this writing duo, and they have hooked me once again with Bryce's book! He is just a sweet guy, who got caught in the wrong situation... however he worked hard for Tessa and realised what he was missing in life.

“Truth or dare?”
“I’ll take your dare.”
“Kiss me.”

I don’t believe in Prince Charming, but when I met a handsome stranger on a rooftop his words intrigued me and his dares left nothing but temptation.

Then I learned the truth.

His name is Bryce Sexton. Media mogul, workaholic and a heart of stone. He’s broody AF and yet every woman in San Francisco wants him.

So why won’t he leave me alone?

Wherever I go, he’s there, trying to force his way into my world. What he doesn’t know is I already have a man in my life. A tiny redhead who loves Legos and Superheroes.

With every push, Bryce pulls me in further. Our pasts are laced with betrayal. Our futures are unpredictable. Our chemistry is explosive.

With each dare I uncover a truth, but he's exactly what I don’t need right now.

So why did I have to go and kiss him?

I had so much fun reading Bryce's book, getting to know that strong and fierce brother who wanted what was best for his family. It was amusing to see him fall for a girl who didn't run in his circle, who also came as a package deal. It was a sweet, exciting and intense read, and like the first book, the last few lines left me hanging for Tanner's book... the mysterious brother I am dying to meet!

I really liked Bryce! He was a strong, determined and successful man, but he was kind and sweet too. He wanted to succeed in his role at the helm of his mother's company, but he wanted a family and his goals shifted a little once he met Tessa.

I liked how Tessa had made a life for herself and her son, but I could see that she was lacking company, which she realised after she met Bryce. He kind of swept her off her feet at their initial meeting, and he was determined to win her over.

It was sweet watching them fall for one another, and especially how Bryce fell for Charlie too. Bryce decided to take a bit of a step back from work, despite the pressure he was under from his Father and his wife Missy. There were issues that surfaced that threw a spanner in the works, and I hoped they would see that they were stronger together to get through.

I'm really enjoying the work from this writing duo. They're delivering stories I can relate too, and throwing in some hooks to keep me coming back. Although these books can be read as standalones, I think the reader would get a better understanding of the brothers if you read each book. I am REALLY looking forward to Tanner's story, as we haven't officially met him yet!
*** Swoon Thursday was first bought to us by YA Bound. Since they are no longer with us, and with permission from Trisha Wolfe, I have decided that those of us that love to swoon need a central meet up point.  So here it is ladies! I have a link up for everyone at the bottom of the post you can add your swoons to, and I’ll set it up every week! So tell all other swooners out there to come on over, link up so we can visit each other! ***

I have a sweet moment, and one to curl your toes!

“When was the last time you felt you were at the right place, at the right time, with the right person?”
“Right now,” she breathes.
“Me, too.”

“Truth or dare?” I whisper.
He shakes his head. “I’ll dare myself.”
He moves closer, pulling me in, and I let him. All reason flies out of my mind. My heart pounds out of control as an urge I haven’t felt in years takes over. My breath hitches when I feel his breath sweep across my lips, so close.
“I’m going to kiss you.”
I heed the warning and close my eyes. I nod slightly and relish in the feeling of his lips as they softly touch mine. My body goes limp as he pulls me into him, supporting my weight before he opens his mouth, sweeping his tongue against my lips, asking for permission to enter.
