The Score by Elle Kennedy ~ Audiobook Review & Quote-tastic (@ElleKennedy)

I love the Off-Campus series, and I have just listened to my first book in the series, and really enjoyed it too! I love all the guys in this series and I was so happy to see Dean, the player, finally get attached to a girl!

He knows how to score, on and off the ice

Allie Hayes is in crisis mode. With graduation looming, she still doesn’t have the first clue about what she's going to do after college. To make matters worse, she’s nursing a broken heart thanks to the end of her longtime relationship. Wild rebound sex is definitely not the solution to her problems, but gorgeous hockey star Dean Di-Laurentis is impossible to resist. Just once, though, because even if her future is uncertain, it sure as heck won’t include the king of one-night stands.

It’ll take more than flashy moves to win her over

Dean always gets what he wants. Girls, grades, girls, recognition, girls…he’s a ladies man, all right, and he’s yet to meet a woman who’s immune to his charms. Until Allie. For one night, the feisty blonde rocked his entire world—and now she wants to be friends? Nope. It’s not over until he says it’s over. Dean is in full-on pursuit, but when life-rocking changes strike, he starts to wonder if maybe it’s time to stop focusing on scoring…and shoot for love.

Ahhh... Elle Kennedy! I continue to enjoy her writing and the Off-Campus series as we get to know each of the boys that live together and play ice hockey. The Score is Dean's book as he finds love with Hannah's room-mate and best friend, Allie. Dean has been one of my favourite characters since the first book, so I knew it was going to be amusing to see the playboy settle down!

Dean has always been the player type, but he's upfront with what he wants every time he hooks up with a girl. He comes across as arrogant and self centred, but there is more to Dean that anyone realised. I loved getting to see the deeper side to him, how smart he was and how caring he could be. He was close with his family, didn't flaunt his wealth and showed a sweet side that made me swoon!

Allie was a focused and determined young actress finishing her last year of college, but she was also dealing with a break up that ultimately landed her on Dean's front door. She's a relationship kind of girl, so it surprised her when she ended up in bed with Dean. Their feelings and friendship grew as they spent time with one another, doing casual things that they wouldn't normally do.

The Score was the first book in the series that I listened to, instead of reading myself. I really enjoyed the narration by Savannah Peachwood and Andrew Eiden as they both portrayed the characters superbly. It was a sexy and entertaining read, but it touched on a bit of heartbreak that Dean found hard to get through. It saddened me to see him struggle, and the narrators did a magnificent job at delivering that emotional aspect of Elle Kennedy's magnificent story. Allie and Dean's relationship struggled through that time, and both dealt with the situation differently. I also loved getting to see all the characters that I've come to love throughout the series so far and I'm dying to get Tuckers book, because my jaw hit the floor at the end of The Score!

Hehe... a couple of fun ones here! Enjoy!

“Would you please, please get dressed?” I beg.
“Can’t. You’re wearing my shirt.” He arches a brow. “Why don’t you take it off and toss it this way?”

“Please, baby, I’ve been such a good boy… I’ve waited a whole week for this. Don’t I deserve a reward for my patience?” I rub the side of her neck with my lips. “I’ve been—” I kiss her jaw “such—” I kiss my way up to her mouth “—a good boy.”
