Girls, you need to meet Rome! The big brooding non-pierced man of the group! He is a sweetie deep down, I tell ya!
His quote today is so sweet too! It was a great moment between them.
Title: Rome

Series: Marked Men #3
Genre: NA Contemporary Romance

Sometimes the wrong choice can be just right . . .
Fun and fearless, Cora Lewis knows how to keep her tattooed "bad boy" friends at the Marked in line. But beneath all that flash and sass is a broken heart. Cora won't let herself get burned again. She's waiting to fall in love with the perfect man—a baggage-free, drama-free guy ready for commitment. Then she meets Rome Archer.
Rome Archer is as far from perfect as a man can be. He's stubborn, rigid, and bossy. And he's returned from his final tour of duty more than a little broken. Rome's used to filling many roles: big brother, doting son, supersoldier—but none of those fit anymore. Now he's just a man trying to figure out what to do with the rest of his life while keeping the dark demons of war and loss at bay. He would have been glad to suffer through it alone, until Cora comes sweeping into his life and becomes a blinding flash of color in a sea of gray.Perfect may not be in the cards, but perfectly imperfect could just last forever . . .

Rome and Cora… what can I say, but opposites do attract! I loved how these two started off not liking each other, the sexual tension grew and then BAM! They were quickly getting naked and it wasn’t long before they had a new set of challenges to work through.
Cora is like the mother of the group and is always looking out for her friends and offering advice to them so they were able to find their happily ever afters. But because of a bad relationship, she doesn’t believe that she will be able to love, or be loved, again. Rome is a little lost after coming home from serving his country. He is all broody and pushes everyone away. One of his low nights lands him in Brite’s bar, and Brite manages to give him a little bit of purpose.
Cora and Rome’s relationship developed slowly, with Cora helping him out of a situation and trying to set him on a better path. Rome sees Cora for the good person she is and his attraction to her grows quickly. When they come together they are explosive and realise they have to deal with those consequences.
This was another good instalment in the series, and it was fun to be back in this world. I liked seeing how all the other characters play big parts in each other’s lives and are supportive of one another. Even though this is Rome and Cora’s book, I saw how the other relationships were developing between the previous couples in the series. If you enjoyed Rule and Jet, you will love Rome’s book too!
“Do you see me as yours, as someone you are going to be with for the long haul? Because if you are just riding this out until your Mr. Perfect comes along, I got news for you . . . he’s going to have a hell of a fight on his hands getting through me.”
I just stared at him because I couldn’t think of anything to say. All I wanted was for a guy to be one hundred percent in it with me, and here this amazing man was demanding the same thing from me. Like I said, Rome won in the game of life- changing every time.
“I see all of it, Rome, and whatever it ends up looking like is already perfect. This”— I put my hand over his heart and made sure he could feel me squeeze him from the inside— “is as perfect as it gets. You’re my guy, no one else does to me or for me what you do, and that’s all there is to it. I didn’t know what perfect meant until you.”

Being native Coloradan is a source of pride if you ask Jay. She loves all the things her home has to offer, and that is why she set her books in this familiar place. Writing about what she knows is why her stories feature plenty of rock and roll and body modification.
Jay has been a bartender since she was in college, spending over forty hours a week watching interactions between men and women. This 9 to 5 job offered great insights into relationships - how they start and how they evolve in a social setting.
This cutting-edge author likes to write New Adult novels because she remembers being in her early twenties and thinking she had it all figured out, only to be proven wrong time and time again. When she looks back, she see's that those years defined who she is today, and, good or bad, those decisions ultimately set her current path.
