Amy Andrews
Amy is an award-winning author who has written over thirty romances for Harlequin Mills and Boon in both the Medical and RIVA/KISS/Presents lines. To date she's sold over a million books and been translated into thirteen different languages. In 2010 she took out the sexy category in the prestigious Romantic Book of the Year Award affectionately known as the Ruby. She is a current triple finalist in the Australian Romance Readers Awards.
She's recently launched a couple of separate writing ventures with the release of Sister Pact a contemporary women's fiction novel that she wrote with her sister Ros Baxter and was published by Harper Collins Australia as well as the very exciting release of her first category romance titles with Entangled Publishing.
In what she euphemistically likes to call her spare time, Amy works part time as a paediatric intensive care nurse and was on the national executive for Romance Writers Of Australia for six years during which time she organised two national conferences and undertook a two year term as president. She's been married for twenty-two years and has two teenagers. She lives on acreage on the outskirts of Brisbane with a gorgeous mountain view but secretly wishes it was the hillsides of Tuscany.
Doesn’t Amy sound awesome?? What a wonderful person to be able to juggle so much. I’m flat out with parenting, reading and blogging…whew!!
One of Amy’s many books is Taming the Tycoon and I won it in a giveaway last year and after reading it I decided to feature it today. I am also giving away a copy of Taming the Tycoon from Amazon, so check out the rafflecopter below.

Book Description
Real estate tycoon Nathaniel Montgomery is one deal away from making his first billion and fulfilling a promise to his dying father. Nothing will stop him from tearing down the decrepit St. Agnes hospital and erecting posh condos in its place. Not even the crystal-wearing, health food store owner whose publicity stunt lands him in the hospital.
After her brush with death five years ago, child prodigy Addie Collins learned what’s truly important—health, happiness, and the two-hundred-year-old rose garden at St. Agnes. To make amends for the accident, she agrees to pose as Nathaniel’s girlfriend at his eccentric grandmother’s birthday party.
But Addie has an ulterior motive. To repay her debt to the universe, she must show him there's more to life than making money. Nathaniel hates to lose, but as she breaks through his defenses, losing himself in Addie's arms might be exactly what this tycoon needs…

My Review
Taming the Tycoon is a beautiful contemporary romance. It was a short read and I was able to read it in a day. If you like to read about characters that are total opposites that have a connection then you will enjoy Addie and Nate’s story. I was addicted to it early on and hoped that they could get past their differences.
Nathaniel and Addie cross paths at a protest rally. Nathaniel is a millionaire and plans to develop the rose gardens at St. Agnes. Addie is a hippie who decides to take matters into her own hands and stage her own protest against Nathaniel. That is how their rocky relationship begins and the fun starts…
Since her health scare, Addie has taken a huge step back from the pressures in her life. She’s fit, healthy, no longer drinks and is a vegetarian. Addie is very passionate about things that matter to her and the St. Agnes gardens helped her when she was unwell, so she will do anything she can to stop Nathaniel from building apartments there. Her little stunt may not stop Nathaniel from doing so, but it gives her a way in to try and convince him. I liked how passionate she was about the gardens and the more details that we learnt about Addie, the more I liked her. You can see that her priorities are about things that are important to her and that she doesn’t care about money.
Nathaniel is a very focused businessman and wants to achieve his goals as soon as possible. He is every woman’s dream, smart, sexy and loaded with money. He works long hours and really has no time for fun. When Addie hijacks him at the protest, his life is about to take a big twist. He was a fun character too, once he dropped his guard so that Addie could squeeze her way in.
I loved the chemistry both of these characters have. It builds slowly as they appear to be quite different people, total opposites, but Addie has a lot of little surprises that keep popping up and Nathaniel is often amazed at what she is hiding. The bedroom scenes are hawt and there are a lot of sweet moments throughout the book too. I haven’t read any of Amy’s books before and I really enjoyed this one and I plan on visiting more of them in the future.
