I've read a few new authors to me due to my Kindle Unlimited subscription, but I always get super excited when I find one that blows me away like Meagan Brandy did! I will definitely be reading more of her work!

I haven't read anything by Meagan Brandy prior to picking up Fake It 'Til You Break It, and I was amazed by the way she wrote this story and captivated me right until the very end. She created a cast of characters that I loved and wanted more of!
Demi was the type of girl that everyone liked. She was smart and athletic. She wasn't one of the popular crew, but she had a good group of friends. At home though, things were a little tense; her mother was pretty absent and her father was remarried and lived out of town. She was able to find peace when she danced, whether at home or on stage.
Nico I really loved getting to know, his story was revealed piece by piece and each time it shocked me a little. It was sweet to see him build a relationship with Demi, even if it started as a fake, but I could see that it was becoming real even though they couldn't see it.
I thoroughly enjoyed this read and each little twist that was revealed. Neither character had easy homelives and tried their hardest to keep it secret. I was impressed with Meagan Brandy's writing style, how she hooked me to the world and the characters that felt real. I'll be looking out for more of her work in the future!
I loved this moment when they were beginning to realise that it was real!
“Don’t play, baby.”
“Tell me I am,” I rasp.
When his brows dip, I continue.
“Your baby.” My eyes hit his. “For reals, not for fakes. For keeps, not for now.”
The heavy thump of his heart beats against my hand, and I flatten my palm there, not wanting to miss the way it’s climbing.
“Pixie.” He leans in, brushing his lips over mine. “You are. You’ve been,” he stresses. “Even when you had no fuckin’ clue... you were my baby.”
He kisses me, and the overbearing weight on my shoulders lifts.
His.
That’s what I am.
He pulls back the slightest bit, whispering into my ear. “And in case there’s room for question, let me clear it up for you. You’re mine, D, and I’m yours. That’s as real as it gets.”
