The second book in Katie McCoy's Rascal series is now out! Wingman was a fun ad flirty read that I devoured when I could! You need to meet Chase and Kelsey, as well as the rest of the gang!
Title: Wingman
Author: Katie McCoy
Series: Rascals #2
Genre: Contemporary Romance
Chase McKenna is the hottest bartender in the city… and he knows it. Sexy, charming, and abs for days? It’s no wonder every girl who walks through the doors is panting for him.
Except me.
I’m stuck crushing on my perfect boss, who has zero idea I’m even alive. I need a plan to catch his attention… and who better to teach me the tricks of seduction than Mr. Panty—Dropper himself?
The rules are simple: no strings, no stress, and definitely no feelings. But it turns out, Chase is way more than I bargained for, and as for the sparks flying between us…?
You can’t teach chemistry like this.
Soon, we’re throwing our lesson plan out the window — and our clothes right after it. We’re breaking all the rules, and my heart’s on the line, but now I’m wondering…
Must all good flings come to an end?

I was looking for a fun light-hearted read, and when Wingman popped up on my Kindle App, I had to read it immediately! It was fun and sexy, and I could see from a mile away these two would be good together! Now, Wingman is the second book in the Rascals series, and although I haven't read the first book, it didn't affect the way this book was written, it just made me want to go back and read the first book to get to know Alex and Emerson a little better.
Kelsey sounds like she's a little on the plump side, and has curves in all the right places. She's a character that a lot of readers could relate to, and has an open and bubbly personality. I like that she had a goal and talked Chase into helping her land her “dream guy”.
Chase was a bit of a player, but I liked that we got to see why he was that way. His story made him a little vulnerable and I could understand why he acted the way he did. I liked seeing him open up a little to Kelsey, and developed a sweet connection with her.
Chase and Kelsey were a lot of fun to read about, and I enjoyed seeing their training turn into something more. Although they both had different goals from this plan, neither of them would have thought they would find happiness together. It's not always smooth sailing and I just hoped they would fight for one another.
This isn't the first Katie McCoy book that I have read, but I think it's my favourite so far. I liked getting to know all the characters and enjoyed watching the connection between Kelsey and Chase grow. I love that they have a good support network of friends around them, although I'm not a fan of Kelsey's mother... I am looking forward to coming back to this world, hopefully soon!

So tell all other swooners out there to come on over, link up so we can visit each other! ***
This was a good moment between Kelsey and Chase, although I could see that it meant more to him!
“Hey, hey, come here.”
I stopped pacing and let him take my hands. “You need to relax,” he told me.
“How can I relax?” I demanded. “You don’t know what it’s like.”
“You’re right,” he said. “But the only way you’re going to get better at something is through practice.”
“What are you talking about?” I asked.
In response, he kissed me.
