After getting a taste of Lexi Ryan in her Here and Now series, I knew I had to read more of her work. The next series, Reckless & Real, are Lizzy and Sam’s books and I was excited to see these two get together. They have intense chemistry and it was interesting to see how far back their connection began.

I picked up Becoming a Jett Girl because I read the blurb for the second book (Being a Jett Girl) and knew I had to read this series. I will tell you that I loved this book and the world that Meghan Quinn has created! I was hooked from the beginning and found it so hard to put this book down!!

The hubby played cricket yesterday, and while the kids and I were watching, a few bees started annoying us. We soon saw they were attracted to a hole in a willow tree nearby so we moved away. You’d think that would be a good plan… but no! One of them followed me and I was stung on the back of the hand! My third bee sting this year!! My hand and arm remind me of the marshmallow man from Ghost Busters!! Fat hand and stubby fingers! 24 hours later, it still hurts and is swollen… argh!

Quiet week otherwise… The kids finished school and will be home for the next 7 weeks. I have been preparing for Christmas, finalising some things on the blog and reading! That is about it!

If you haven’t read a Colleen Hoover book yet, I suggest you pick Ugly Love, because OMG! It was so good! From the very beginning, when Tate stumbled upon Miles, I knew it was going to be an interesting story, but I don’t think that I was prepared for the emotional turmoil and eventual tears that would accompany Miles story!

I must say that Ripped is a fantastic companion novel in the Real series. I enjoyed getting to know Pandora better and understanding why she has been bitter. Realising that her problems stemmed from her first love and her mother’s perception of men, it was kind of heartbreaking. But watching her pick herself up, put her emotions on the line and find the confidence to stand up for her beliefs, was inspiring in itself.
