I Want It That Way (2B Trilogy #1)Title: I Want It That Way

Series: 2B Trilogy #1
Genre: NA Contemporary Romance

Nadia Conrad has big dreams, and she's determined to make them come true—for her parents' sake as well as her own. But between maintaining her college scholarship and working at the local day care to support herself, she barely has time to think, let alone date. Then she moves into a new apartment and meets the taciturn yet irresistible guy in 1B….

Daniel Tyler has grown up too fast. Becoming a single dad at twenty turned his life upside down—and brought him heartache he can't risk again. Now, as he raises his four-year-old son while balancing a full-time construction management job and night classes, a social life is out of the question. The last thing he wants is for four noisy students to move into the apartment upstairs. But one night, Nadia's and Ty's paths cross, and soon they can't stay away from each other.

The timing is all wrong—but love happens when it happens. And you can't know what you truly need until you stand to lose it.

I thought this was a sweet story and if you are looking for some thing light to read, I think it would be a great one to pick up.

I Want It That Way is told from Nadia's POV, as she moves to a new apartment with her best friend Lauren and
their friends Max and Angus. When moving the couch, she meets Ty, the handsome guy who lives in the apartment below hers. The more times she sees him, and the more she learns about him, the more she falls for him. Ty is an incredible guy, focused on his life and his future, he is really sweet.

Nadia is such a nice girl. She thinks the best of everyone and goes out of her way to help the people she cares about. She really is a great girl and any nice guy would be lucky to snap her up.

Ty, he has his little secrets, but they don't bother Nadia at all. She easily handles Ty's situation and he just falls for her that little bit more. You can see how compatible they are, and you just want them to take things to that whole new level. But there are always niggling doubts that get in the way.

I really did enjoy this read, meeting all the characters, room mates, family and friends. It was nice to follow Nadia, getting to know Ty and how she goes about her life. The only thing was, that her life was pretty normal and there were no real jaw dropping revelations thrown in. It was a nice sweet read and I was happy how things turned out in the end. I am looking forward to reading Lauren's story next.

  1. I fell in love with this story, Naomi, and I enjoyed it even more than you did :) I'm glad it worked for you, even if it didn't blow your mind. Lauren's story is even better, in my opinion, hopefully, you'll enjoy it, too :)
    Great review!

  2. I actually really enjoyed this one, even though I'd agree that it wasn't jaw-dropping. I think I was comparing it to the very similarly themed Ugly Love - and I liked this one way better, even though neither Ty's nor Nadia's stories were nearly as dramatic as Miles' story.

  3. This one has had me curious. The reviews I've seen for it have been all over the place. It does sound entertaining though :) One day when I get this massive pile tamed just a wee bit hopefully I'll make it to these. lol

  4. The only book I've read by Aguirre I DNF'd, so I've been hesitant to read another one by her. This is a totally different genre, so maybe I should try it.

  5. On one hand, too sweet is not much for me, on the other hand, normal-no-drama is totally for me - so that's good, thanks for sharing, adding it to my list :)

  6. Yes! I agree.. Lauren's book was better, but this was still sweet.

  7. I am just used to the drama, I suppose, and that is why it didn't make a huge impact for me.

  8. It is a sweet read, but not overly dramatic. The second book was better.

  9. That is understandable. I enjoyed the second book a lot more. This was sweet, and it followed a normal girl.

  10. It's a bit of an either/or isn't it. I felt it needed more of a punch.

  11. I like the sound of how the characters meet and get to know each other. I have seen this one around and I am curious about it. Though there were "no real jaw dropping revelations" and it was just a sweet read, I do like reading books like that here and there!

    Lovely, lovely review!!! :D

  12. Almost sounds like a diary than a "story". No real drama there.

  13. Thanks Magen. it was a nice read. Not out there like a lot of the NA books. I enjoyed the second book more.

  14. I guess you could say that. Like she was coasting through life, got happy, got dumped and waited for life to fall into place again.

  15. So there wasn't that angst element that we love, huh? I'm glad you enjoyed meeting all the characters and the story. It does sound like a sweet read though. Great review, girl!

  16. Yeah, exactly. And I kind of need that. She just seemed to be a happy nice girl who fell for a guy with some minor issues. I never saw his POV either, so you don't understand all the feelings he possesses.
