Merit has been a vampire for only a short while, but she’s already seen a lifetime’s worth of trouble. She and her Master, centuries-old Ethan Sullivan, have risked their lives time and again to save the city they love. But not all of Chicago is loving them back.

Anti-vampire riots are erupting all over town, striking vampires where it hurts the most. A splinter group armed with Molotov cocktails and deep-seated hate is intent on clearing the fanged from the Windy City come hell or high water.

Merit and her allies rush to figure out who’s behind the attacks, who will be targeted next, and whether there’s any way to stop the wanton destruction. The battle for Chicago is just beginning, and Merit is running out of time.
What another thrilling instalment in the Chicagoland Vampires series! The plot kept me guessing as to the direction and who the culprit was going to be and I was on the edge of my seat the whole way through. There were so many people and Vampires affected and it was an exciting ride!

As usual, Merit and Ethan are a lethal team. They fight and plan well together and are extremely passionate behind closed doors. The book is set around Valentine’s Day and how this fierce couple will spend the day. I liked this part of the story as it is a big point in their relationship and they can be so cute together. The riots are the major storyline in Biting Bad and they turn out to be a big puzzle. They affect so many different people and even hit too close to home for Merits tastes.

Jonah is in this story a lot as well, and I must say I really like him. His relationship with Merit is getting stronger in professional terms and Merit does question some of her feelings about this. All the favourite characters had roles throughout this story and again we see what an awesome team they can be. They plot and plan and are willing to go to battle with one another. Some of the relationships that have been strained as of late, were strengthened in this book and I was happy to see that occur.

The shifters always make me smile and I liked how Gabriel likes to tease Ethan! In this particular case he was able to use Merit and I liked that! He is one cheeky Alpha King! In the end I liked how this story played out and one person in particular got what they deserved. AND I happen to be one lucky girl who has gotten her hands on an early copy of Wild Things!! Look out for my review as part of the blog tour next week!!
