Review ~ Remy by Katy Evans

Remy (Real, #3)
Title: Remy
Author: Katy Evans
Series: Real, Raw & Ripped #3
Genre: NA Contemporary Romance
Published: November 26th 2013

Underground fighter Remington Tate is a mystery, even to himself. His mind is dark and light, complex and enlightening. At times his actions and moods are carefully measured, and at others, they spin out of control.

Through it all, there's been one constant: wanting, needing, loving, and protecting Brooke Dumas. This is his story; from the first moment he laid eyes on her and knew, without a doubt, she would be the realest thing he's ever had to fight for.
OMG!!! Remy is definitely my favourite book of the whole series. Although we have already seen a lot of the scenes through Brooke's eyes, they are 110% better through Remy's. He is an amazing person and you can see the depth of his emotion through his perspective. He is the Alpha Male of alpha males, I tell you! He is so protective of Brooke and that is before they even become intimate. He is a beautiful male who struggles with his condition every day, but will do anything to try and stay happy and normal.

Remy begins in the Present; on a day Remy has wanted since he met Brooke. This is all new material that we haven’t read about before and it was sweet to see Remy’s reactions. We are also taken back into the Past, and we see some of the important days of Remy’s life with and without Brooke, only they are through his eyes. We see him struggle through all the highs and lows, as well as see his confusion when he loses time. To see how he feels during a fight was exhilarating; he is pumped and on show for the audience, especially Brooke.

Remy’s feelings for Brooke never waver, even through everything that they go through. He treats her like his mate because he believes she is his one and only. She accepts him as he is, even though he is a hard person to understand with his issues. He loves to touch and be around Brooke constantly and finds it difficult if she is not in the room. Seeing him deal with these issues was an eye opener for me about anyone who is bipolar. I am glad that Remy found someone who was able to love him regardless.

Katy blew me away with the final book in Remy and Brooke's story; it was a beautiful, emotional and scorching read!!  I’m a little bummed that this is their last book, but I’m looking forward to the spin offs that are coming soon. Pete and Riley deserve their own happily ever afters and we should get glimpses of the power couple again!! Bring on Rogue in July this year!!

I won this book from the fabulous guys at The Racy Hearts (Simon & Schuster Australia)

I'm so glad you like this. I loved this book & this series, but I'm sad this was the last book. I loved Remy, he's one of my favorite characters ever. I couldn't get enough of him. I should be doing my review on this series sometime this month. I had pre-ordered Remy because I couldn't wait to read it last year & I'm so glad I did.

  7. Excellent view Naomi! Remy is my favorite in the series as well. O also loved seeing this story from his eyes. I agree, we get to see the depth of his emotion from his perspective, as well as his struggle with being Bipolar. I'm really sad to see Remy and Brooke's story come to an end too, but can't wait for Rogue!!!
