This week I have some news... I have been doing some Beta reading jobs (Thank you Trisha Wolfe) and have decided that I'd like to pursue this a bit further. So this week I signed up for a Copyediting and Proofreading course!! Go me! It's been a while since I have studied, so I am looking forward to beginning it next week!Nomi’s Weekly Wrap Up is a combined meme with the Sunday Post hosted by Kimberly @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer and Stacking The Shelves hosted by Tynga’s Reviews. I’ll share news, post a recap of the past week and tell you what will be happening on my blog in the week ahead. I will also tell you about the books and goodies that I have managed to pick up.
On an annoying note, I cannot even pay for fuel at the petrol station without leading to an injury!! I managed to roll my ankle off the final step and took skin off my knee, so I've been hobbling around all weekend. I am a clumsy asshat!! *Shakes Head*

Old Follower :)
OMG - I'm so sorry you took that spill! Were there any hot guys around to nurse your wounds? Isn't that how all the books go?? (HA!)
ReplyDeleteI've always wondered about those 'Beautiful' books - I'll have to watch out for your reviews of the novellas!
Stay on your feet this week!!!! My Sunday Post
Ouch! You remind me of my daughter, she tests gravity every chance she gets :)
ReplyDeleteCongrats on your class! It's a great feeling to return to school. I have one more class in April.
Hope you have a great week!
Michelle
Sorry you injured yourself :0( I have two left feet myself and if there is a hole, I will fall into it.
ReplyDeleteHope you get better soon and enjoy your class.
Lauren @The Hottie Harem
Jeez, I hope your ankle is better. Good luck with the studying! Go you!! Have a wonderful week and enjoy the books.
ReplyDeleteJenea @ Books Live Forever's Sunday Post
Well done, where is your course going to be, I mean is it online or do you go to college for it? I'd love to something like that, but don't have the time for it at this stage in my life. So, I'm a little bit envious!
ReplyDeleteHave a great week and Happy Reading!
My Sunday post is here
I've heard some amazing things about the Beautiful Bastard series, I want to start reading it soon.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on starting your course!! It's always exciting when something comes along in your life and makes you want to go down a new path. So congrats :D.
You had a great week except the falling. I'm clumsy too, I always have bruises. Just the other day I hit my head on the cabinet door. I'll definitely be closing all cabinets above my head at all times.
ReplyDeleteBeached looks really good I might check it out. I hope you have a better week next week.
beached looks very interesting! nice haul :) hope you enjoy beautiful bitch and bombshell!
ReplyDeleteGood luck on the class and yay! :D Sorry about the ouchie though :( I'm thinking of revising my LinkedIn profile to see if I can find some Content Editing to do. I'd be rubbish at proofreading or copy editing, but content or acquisitions would be right up my alley. :)
ReplyDeleteI would love to do some beta reading and take the class you are! How did you get started? I have heard some awesome things about the Beautiful Bastard series. I'm going to have to give it a try!
ReplyDeleteMy Sunday Post
Beached sounds good, and good luck with the copyediting service!
ReplyDeleteOh no for the ankle and knee! That's no good at all. But yay for the new classes!
ReplyDeleteThat's awesome about the copy-editing class!! Where are you taking it? Somewhere local? Enjoy!!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your new haul!I hope your knee is better soon. My STS
ReplyDeleteYay! That is super duper exciting!! Now I know a beta reader when I need one *tee hee* Great haul this week. Hope you are recovering from the injury and using the down time to read ;)
ReplyDeleteChanzie @ Mean Who You Are.
Thanks Lindy. I'm looking forward to all these reads!!
ReplyDeleteI'm sure I will Jessica! Thanks for coming by!
ReplyDeleteI know *face palm* Seems I am clumsy!!
ReplyDeleteHehe..... I wish, I wanted to hit a trucker to get the smirk off his face.... huh, MEN!!
ReplyDeleteHaha!! Yeah, but I'm 35.... I should know how to walk by now!!
ReplyDeleteI am having fun, nice to learn new skills!
Yep, I am definitely like that myself. But I am enjoying my class!!
ReplyDeleteArgh... I am just clumsy, that's all. But the studying is fun!
ReplyDeleteOnline for now, and I will pursue it further if I do well!! It's a bit exciting, been 15 years since I was last at school!
ReplyDeleteI enjoy the Beautiful Bastard series.... lots of raunchy fun!!
ReplyDeleteThe course is good so far!
Hehe... yup, the fall through a spanner in the works, that's for sure!
ReplyDeleteBeta reading is where you read for authors and pick up on errors and inconsistencies. You usually do it off your own back if you like the author and their work. I've done it a few times and you pay closer attention to detail. I like it!
I'm sure I will!! Thanks Lily!!
ReplyDeletePffft.... Should learn to walk properly!! It's good to be doing something new!
ReplyDeleteI have done a few for Trisha before and for some other authors and they approached me or they had posted that they were looking for Beta Readers. Right place at the right time I guess!!
ReplyDeleteI'm looking forward to continuing the BB series... always a lot of fun!
Hehe!! Thanks Brandi!! I'm looking forward to it myself!
ReplyDeleteLOL my daughter is 6 but sometimes I wonder if she really caught on or not lol.
ReplyDeleteGlad you are enjoying it :)
*Shakes head* I learnt how to walk 34 years ago, you'd think I was good at it now!! Lol Oh well!!
ReplyDeleteIt's online now, I wanted to make sure I enjoyed it before I got to serious! So far so good!!
ReplyDeleteHaha!! I'm sure I will recover! Thanks for stopping by!
ReplyDeleteYes you do!! And I will be getting better at it soon too!
ReplyDeleteAnd I will survive! I promise!!
Cool! I've been considering doing an online course as well. You'll have to tell me if you like the program!
ReplyDeleteOUCH! but yay for your class! Good for you!
