Beautiful is the final book in the Beautiful Bastard series and it was just as exciting and entertaining as I hoped! It was great to see the whole cast back together again, but to also see Jensen find love once again!
Title: Beautiful
Author: Christina Lauren
Series: Beautiful Bastard #5
Genre: Contemporary Romance
Featuring the entire BEAUTIFUL series cast for one final hurrah!
A FREE-SPIRITED GIRL IN NEED OF A BREAK.
A MAN WEIGHED DOWN BY RESPONSIBILITY.
A ROAD TRIP VACATION WHERE ALL BETS ARE OFF.
OH, AND A LOT OF WINE.
After walking in on her boyfriend shagging another girl in their place, Pippa Bay Cox ditches London for the States to go on a drunken road trip with Ruby Miller and some of her Beautiful friends.
Scaling the career ladder is the default way to deal with heartbreak—and to just deal—for Jensen Bergstrom. Absolutely buried by his drive and workload, he rarely takes time for himself. But when his sister Hanna convinces him to join the gang on a two-week wine tour, he has a rare moment of cutting loose. Of course, it’s only once he’s committed that he realizes the strange girl he met briefly on the plane is coming along, too. She might be too much for him…or he might realize his life has become too small and needs her to make it bigger, crazier.
With this circle of friends there’s always something going on: from Chloe and Sara’s unexpected personality swaps to Will’s new domestic side to Bennett’s text message barrage and George’s own happily-ever-after. In short, their adventures in love, friendship, and hilarity are nothing short of Beautiful.

I can't believe the Beautiful Bastard series has now drawn to an end! I did love how the final book, Beautiful, tied it all up by allowing one more guy in the small group find love once again! But what I loved most was that we got to see all the previous couples from the series and how their lives had changed over the years!
Pippa's life was turned upside down by her cheating boyfriend, so she decided to head to America to go on a bus tour with her best friend Ruby and her new husband Niall (Beautiful Secret—Book #4). On her trip from England to the US she sat next to a cute guy and rambled a lot, enough to make the trip a little uncomfortable. I loved how easy going Pippa was! She had her own style and really wasn't an overly emotional girl. She tends to talk before thinking things through but was a really likeable girl.
Jensen Bergstrom is Hanna's older brother (Beautiful Player—Book #3), workaholic and divorcee. He had thrown himself into his work and was on track to becoming the youngest partner at his firm. Hanna pointed out that he didn't make time for himself and encouraged him to go on a trip with her and Will, as well as Ruby and Niall. I could see that his divorce still affected him at times, but he wasn't a player either. I thought it was sweet that he took time to find a girl and build a relationship before sleeping with them. Pippa was the total opposite to the girls he usually dated, but the more time they spent together, the more drawn he was to her.
Pippa and Jensen's relationship began as a bit of a fling and a ruse while they were away, but I could see it was becoming something more. They had great chemistry and enjoyed one another's company. Back in the real world however, Jensen turned into a bit of a jerk and it was sad to see him put distance between them.
Writing duo, Christina Lauren, did a fantastic job at delivering us a new story and giving us one more couple to swoon over. They also gave us more insight into how Chloe and Bennett, and Max and Stella were travelling along. Their lives are so much different and they seemed to be enjoying the next exciting stages of their lives! Beautiful was an addictive and entertaining read, that I was reluctant to finish because I didn't want to leave this world! I know that I'll be reading these stories again in the future, just to see my favourite characters once again!

Two quotes today... One showing Pippa and her oversharing, and a sweet one between Pippa and Jensen.
“I thought you slept shirtless.”
What.
What did I just say?
He looked up at me in surprise. “I mean, I usually do, but . . .”
I swear my heart was beating so hard I could barely take in a steady breath. “I think I was hoping you would.” I licked my lips, begging him not to move his eyes away from mine. “I’m sorry. My filter seems to have broken.”
A tiny smile pulled at his lips. “You say that like it’s happened only now.”

“You’re beautiful, and only half as irritating as I initially thought.”
A laugh burst out of me. “You think I’m pretty?”
“I think you’re stunning.”
I chewed my lip, Watching him.
A slow grin took over his face and he finally asked, “Do you think I’m pretty?”
Reaching behind me, I pulled a pillow free and lobbed it at him. “I think you’re stunning,” I echoed, and the rest of it tumbled out of me: “I like you.”
He laughed, eyes shining. “I like you, too.”

Yes, there are two of us! Lauren (on the left) and Christina (on the right).
Christina Lauren is the combined pen name of long-time writing partners/besties/soulmates/brain-twins Christina Hobbs and Lauren Billings. The coauthor duo writes both Young Adult and Adult Fiction, and together has produced nine New York Times bestselling novels. Their books have been translated into 23+ languages.
Lauren Billings (but everyone calls her Lo) has a Ph.D. in neuroscience and before she made writing her full-time job, would spend her days doing nerdy research-type things wearing a lab coat and goggles. She is silly Mommy to two littles, wife to one mountain biking homebrewing scientist, bestie to a shoe-stealer, and an unabashed lover of YA and romance.
Christina Hobbs (but you’ll always hear Lo call her PQ) used to spend her days in a junior high counseling office surrounded by teenagers. These days you’ll probably find her on tumblr. She is married and absolutely not old enough to be the mom of a 14 year old (right??), thinks she’s the luckiest person in the world to write books with her best friend, and is an unapologetic lover of boy bands and glitter. She also likes to steal Lo’s shoes.
