Waiting On Wednesday # 126 – Dark Debt & Very Twisted Things

Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Jill of Breaking the Spine where I have the chance to spotlight an upcoming release that I’m eagerly anticipating.

Dark Debt
Dark Debt (Chicagoland Vampires, #11)
Author: Chloe Neill
Series: Chicagoland Vampires #11
Genre: Urban Fantasy
Expected Publication: March 3rd 2015

Between standing Sentinel of Cadogan house and making society appearances with House Master Ethan Sullivan, a new member of the American Association of Vampires, Merit has her hands full. The last thing she needs is trouble, especially of the deadly kind.

But when an old friend shows up in need, Merit can’t refuse. Morgan Greer, Master of House Navarre, has gotten himself into serious debt with a dangerous Chicago crime syndicate known as the Triad. And they’re willing to exact more than a pound of flesh for payback—unless Merit can find a way to stop them.

Only the Triad’s connections go deeper than Merit knows, and even one wrong move could be her last…

Very Twisted Things
Very Twisted Things (Briarcrest Academy, #3)Author: Ilsa Madden-Mills
Series: Briarcrest Academy #3
Genre: NA Contemporary Romance
Expected Publication: March 1st 2015

Vital Rejects front guy Sebastian Tate never imagined his YouTube music video would go viral, sky-rocketing him to acting success in Hollywood. Okay, maybe he did. After all, he’s a cocky dude who knows he’s hot-as-hell, and it was only a matter of time before his stars aligned.

But life in Tinseltown is never what it seems.

After being cheated on by his ex-lover, his only rule to falling in love is simple: Keep Calm and Don’t Do It. So, spying on his mysterious new neighbor with binoculars seems innocent enough, but quickly escalates into an erotic game between two very unlikely people.

Twenty-year-old Violet St. Lyons is a world-renowned violinist who's lost her mojo on stage. She hides away in a Hollywood mansion, trying to find her way through her twisted past in order to make her future.

He’s the life of the party with girls chasing him down for his autograph. She’s the introvert with a potty mouth who doesn’t even know who he is.

When they meet, stars collide, sparks fly, and clothes come off. Yet, giving his heart to a girl isn’t Sebastian’s plan; falling for a guy who craves attention isn’t Violet’s.

Welcome to Briarcrest Academy—Hollywood style—where sometimes the best things in life are VERY TWISTED THINGS.

This book is a standalone even though it's part of a series. Everything you need to know is in this book. Genre: 18+ Hot New Adult Romance.

  1. I just finished Dark Debt a couple of weeks ago, and it wasn't cray-cray good, but for the eleventh installment in that series, Chloe Neill made out alright I'd say. I'm waiting on Soulbound by Kristen Callihan, and Lucky Break, the CV novella!

  14. Well, I'm definitely waiting on Very Twisted Things. :) Oh yeah, I have to start at the beginning, huh? Actually, I have to start at the beginning for both these series. *sigh* I will. Why can't I read faster, Naomi?

I hope you're doing well. Please forgive me for being MIA recently. I've worked and had a sick kiddo. And then I was sick, too. But it's all good now! :) Enjoy the rest of your weekend!
