I loved Slade, the first book in the Walk of Shame series, and after meeting Hemy I could not wait to read his book. I tell you, it was a beautiful journey, learning about his past and everything that he lost, which turned him into the man he is today.
Hemy is such a great guy. To everyone around him he is a confident, sexy, male stripper that can land any girl that he likes. But he is hiding his past and the life he had struggled with. I learnt early on that he lost the one girl he cared about because of his bad habits and he has regretted it every day since. He turned his life around and although he appears to be better, he still struggles inside.
Onyx was the girl who got away, and she is back with a secret of her own. I actually clued it together pretty early, but it took nothing away from the storyline that was developing. You can see that the passion between these two characters is still as sizzling as ever. They both need to forgive one another and lay all cards on the table, because the time apart has done them both some good.
Once again, Victoria Ashley has captured my heart! Hemy is such a deliciously handsome guy with a heart of gold and she has paired him with a girl like Onyx who was never able to let him go. I loved their journey and how they were able to rekindle their relationship. It was such a sweet story, with some delicious sex scenes that had my blood pumping!! I am keen to get my hands on Cale, to meet the girl who captured his heart six years ago.
