The first in a new sexy romance series from bestselling author Chantal Fernando about the bad boys of the Wind Dragons Motorcycle Club and the women who fall in love with them.

When I found my boyfriend cheating on me, I did something stupid.

Or should I say, someone?

Because of that mistake, I’m now stuck in a world I don’t belong in.

I’m a law student. They’re criminals. He’s the vice president of a motorcycle club. I’m a good girl with a strict upbringing. He’s my ex-boyfriend’s brother.

And I’m screwed.

It's nice to dive into a MC book that is not heavy with dark elements and angst. Dragon’s Lair was a fantastic story, featuring Faye, who finds herself in the middle of Wind Dragon’s MC because of one night with her childhood friend Dex. It was an exciting and thrilling read that I read in a day!

I loved Faye! She didn’t know what happened to Dex after he left his childhood home, and when they crossed paths again she was quite surprised to see that she was still attracted to him. When she realised the danger she may find herself in, she did what any normal girl would do … fled, to protect herself because she was scared of her future. When she was with Dex, I loved how she stood up to him when she needed to and didn’t allow her new circumstances change the person she was. She was fiery, inquisitive and not willing to back down from an argument.

Dex is not the same person that Faye new as a child. She has always had feelings for him – as I could see in the prologue – and since an early age he has wanted to protect her. Now, he is an intimating, broody man who still has a soft spot for her. He was a bit shady at times, and I could see that he was hiding things, but I figured it was part of being part of the Club … but it was way more than that and I loved each bombshell that was dropped!

Dex and Faye have great chemistry even if they try to deny it at times. They are both passionate people and I enjoyed seeing them grow and adapt to their new lives, and learning to deal with the situation they have found themselves in. There are a lot of hurdles for them to deal with and I liked how they approached them in a grown up way instead of throwing a tantrum and pulling away from one another.

I really enjoyed how this story unfolded and being the first book of Chantal’s that I have read, I am now a fan! The world that she has built is a little difficult and complex, and she introduced loyal and interesting characters that I am excited to see more of. My only complaint about this book is that I felt the ending was a bit rushed, as the loose threads were tied up towards the end. I would’ve preferred more detail on a lot of the aspects there. But regardless, I loved the book and I’m excited to read Arrow’s book next!

“Get inside, Faye,” he says, turning around without looking back. My eyes dart from his car back to him. Rake isn’t even here yet with my car. Do I really have a choice? “Fuck,” I mutter under my breath, gritting my teeth. Then I follow the dragon into his lair.
