Review ~ Three Years by Lili St. Germain Gypsy

Title: Three Years
Author: Lili St. Germain
Series: Gypsy Brothers #5
Genre: Dark Erotic Romance
Published: July 20th 2014

**Please note this book is a dark romance and deals with serious themes.*

Every day for six years, I used to pray that I would find my way back to the boy I loved.

Until finally, one day, I did.

But that’s the funny thing about life. Nothing good ever lasts, not for me, anyway. You think you’re the one with the power, at least I did, but then I got careless. One tiny mistake, and now I am powerless to stop what comes next.

People think money equals power, but all the money in my bank account, the dirty notes laundered clean that my father left for me, are useless.

Money does not equal power. Power is held by the one with the knife in his hand, tracing shallow cuts into your skin.

Power is held by the one who owns you.

I had power once.

Now, I have nothing.

What a freakin heartbreaking and intense read! The situation that Jules is in would break any person, but Jules is such a strong character that I just wanted her to get through it. There are so many difficult things that she has to face in Three Years, and I know I would've crumbled way before she did.

I cannot begin to tell you what she goes through in Three Years, but it certainly was intense. If you hated Dornan before, you will hate him even more after this book. He is such an evil and manipulating character, and he turns my blood cold each time he is near Jules. He has his own vendetta now and will stop at nothing to make Jules' life hell!

This was such a dark read and my stomach was constantly churning! I felt like I had to hide under the pillow to avoid the horrors of what Jules was facing. There was so much of the unknown too
Who was still alive, which side were they on and would she make it through it all. It was a fascinating and addictive read… And I need the next book, now!

  1. Yay for a strong female lead! That always makes me want to read the book. And yes for dark stories too. I'm not the biggest fan of paranormal, but you have me tempted, Naomi. I'm glad you loved this book. Great review!

  3. Wow, I forgot how it feels to want the next book so bad it hurts :) I am definitely getting older! Well, I've said it before: you have persuaded me to read this series - now I just have to find the right moment to delve into it... Maybe closer to the summer holidays, when the heat begins to soften most things :) Have a great week, Naomi <3

  15. He is nasty in this one, and I think that is why I enjoyed Cartel so much, because I saw the nicer side to him too.
