I just LOVE the Stage Dive series!! I’m three books into it and I love every character even more! After each book I think I have a favourite band member, and then I read the next book and fall in love all over again!! I just love them all… David, Mal and now Jimmy… How will I survive once I get Ben’s book?? *sigh*
Lena… I love that girl! She never holds back, keeps Jimmy on his toes and the banter between them was often hilarious!! They have a tight connection and it was great to see that Jimmy found trust in someone who was not part of his band family. Lena is able to talk him through anything and is solid support for him.
Jimmy, well, he has his demons but it was good to see him open up. He is the dark and broody one in the band, so it was nice to see his walls dropping slowly and to see the guy underneath. When he realises that Lena has feelings for him, he tries to keep her at arms length and some of the things he did had me in stitches, where others made me swoon. It is obvious he’s not sure how to deal with his actual ‘feelings.’
In Play, I saw that Jimmy had a tight relationship with Lena and in Lead I saw the extent of it. I liked how these two books over lapped and a few times I went back and flicked through Play and just to reminisce.
Kylie Scott has done it to me again!! She has pulled me into her exciting world of Stage Dive and made me fall in love with two new characters. They are so well fleshed out, that I feel I know them personally. I just want to ring them and go and hangout with them and have fun! I’m excited to get Ben’s book next, so that the band are all hooked up, but then again, I’m scared of it all ending!!
