Ronnie McGuire is my target.
But I wish he wasn't.
I didn't sign up for this destruction, this pain.
In his music, I hear his soul crying out for me.
If I could, I'd run away from here and never look back because to tell you the truth, I'm terrified. There are forces weighing in on me that even I don't understand. I'm scared. Things are dangerous. This could get real ugly, real fast.

Lola Saints is a godsend.
But I wish she wasn't.
I don't know sh*t about her, but already, I'm hooked.
When she plays, I can almost imagine the ghosts of the dead are calling out to me.
If I could, I'd shed my soul and leave the pain of the past behind me. But I can't. I have to figure out if there's a way to fall in love anew and respect the old. But something else is going on, something weird. Something that tells me my tough luck might just run out real fast.

Holy Hell C.M. Stunich!! You have done it to me again! You suck me into this dark world of rock ‘n’ roll and I get swept away in the suspense and sizzling scenes and then you leave me hanging! I love it, but dayum girl, you have me hooked!! :D
Tough Luck continues on after Get Bent, but this time there are two new main characters; Lola and Ronnie. Ronnie is Turner’s best friend in the band and I was keen to see more of him since he was in the previous book a bit. He really is a lost soul who has been dealt a bad hand, and until now has had only his music and friends. He is very smart and knows a lot about the tour and the other bands, but tends to spend too much time doing drugs, drinking and having sex. When things turn to shit, it was interesting to see the way he handles things and how he changed for the better.
Lola… The girl from Australia (fist pump) is a tiny girl with big secrets. She is the drummer for Ice and Glass, another band that is touring with the crew. I liked getting to know her and seeing her internal struggles between success and what is right. She is in a difficult situation and is unsure on how to get out. The more time she spent with Ronnie, I could see that she was wavering because their connection was getting stronger and when they did get together, it was hard and fast!
I love how the overall storyline is continuing in each book. It is full of suspense and I even feel that I have to look over my shoulder. I love how we get to see both Ronnie and Lola perform on stage. Even their stage appearances don’t go as planned and I still love seeing Turner take control. I enjoy how this book is still closely tied to the original stories, so Naomi and Turner still play big parts in this book. After that ending however, I have to dive in the next one straight away!
