Amongst the wasteland lies the gleaming city of Karm. A Camelot-esque utopia built from the ashes of a dying world.
Seventeen-year-old Fallon is no daughter of Karm.
She's its assassin.
Raised by a secret society of rebels, she's bent on bringing down the king's sham of an existence. But her first mark, one of the king's top knights of the Force, makes her question everything. Even her heart.
A FIREBLOOD Novella. WARNING: Contains FIREBLOOD spoilers, and a special sneak peek at the next installment in the Fireblood series. Highly suggested not to read the sneak peek until you've read FIREBLOOD: major spoiler.
I read Fireblood late last year and I have been keen to read more in this series, so I was really eager to get a copy of Unveiled. It’s a novella and begins by running through a scene that I was curious about, when Devlan dances with a mysterious girl at the Betrothal ceremony. As it turns out, the girl was Fallon and this is her story of that eventful night and how she became leader of the rebels.
Being a novella, it was certainly a quick read, but so much went on that I was quickly turning the pages. There's an assassination plot, murder, swoon moments and action galore. I liked seeing things through Fallon's eyes to the ruthless person she can be, but she has a soft side too.
But the thing that has me keen for more… The exciting first chapter of Lionheart! My jaw hit the floor and my poor heart was thumping hard… What an interesting twist to the series!!
I received a copy of this book from the Author in exchange for an honest review.
