Crash into You (Pushing the Limits, #3)Title: Crash into You

Series: Pushing the Limits #3
Genre: YA Contemporary Romance

From acclaimed author Katie McGarry comes an explosive new tale of a good girl with a reckless streak, a street-smart guy with nothing to lose, and a romance forged in the fast lane

The girl with straight As, designer clothes and the perfect life-that's who people expect Rachel Young to be. So the private-school junior keeps secrets from her wealthy parents and overbearing brothers...and she's just added two more to the list. One involves racing strangers down dark country roads in her Mustang GT. The other? Seventeen-year-old Isaiah Walker-a guy she has no business even talking to. But when the foster kid with the tattoos and intense gray eyes comes to her rescue, she can't get him out of her mind.

Isaiah has secrets, too. About where he lives, and how he really feels about Rachel. The last thing he needs is to get tangled up with a rich girl who wants to slum it on the south side for kicks-no matter how angelic she might look.

But when their shared love of street racing puts both their lives in jeopardy, they have six weeks to come up with a way out. Six weeks to discover just how far they'll go to save each other.
I have been keen to get my hands on this book, because I've got a thing for Isaiah, and after he had his heart broken in Dare You To, I wanted to see who could take his heart, fix it and make it her own. She is going to be one special girl!!

From what I learnt in previous books, I thought that Isaiah was a big bad boy, but I was soon proven wrong. Isaiah has a shaved head, earrings and tattoos but when you see the man he really is underneath, you just melt. He has the nicest personality, a pure heart and wants to be the best person he can be. But it is all about keeping up appearances and showing you are strong not weak, otherwise it could be your downfall. It may appear that you follow the pack, but it may not be the case. Do everything for yourself, don't rely on others because they will own you.

Rachel is just sweet; she is an innocent sheltered girl with a passion for speed. She is from a high-end family, loaded with money, but is living as a shadow to a girl that died before she was born. Hearing her story really shredded my heart and I truly felt sorry for her. A lot is expected from her because of this and she gets pressure from her four brothers, one being her twin. She is unable to deal with this kind of pressure and folds very easily. But she continues the charade to keep everyone happy. But her genuine love for cars and speed is what causes her to cross paths with Isaiah.

It wasn't love at first sight for these two, more like curiosity. They help each other out do a dangerous situation and Isaiah is in debt to Rachel in the end. But soon things hit the fan and they have to work together to get themselves out of it and before long they can't deny the feelings for each other. It is sweet how it all unfolds and I enjoyed watching them get together.

Katy has done an amazing job at piecing this book together. The common connection for this couple is cars and racing. There is a fair bit of detail that has been put into it and she has definitely done some great research. I loved this aspect of the book as my family are a bit of adrenalin junkies and enjoy watching racing, so it's exciting to see these dangers in a book. The swoon scenes were cute too. The cameo's from all our fav characters from previous books was fun. They show that they still care for one another as they are their own kind of family.

I received a copy of this book from Harlequin Teen Aus via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

  1. I loved Isaiah's story so much, Naomi! And I agree with you, that tough exterior is like an armor, really. I felt almost worse for Rachel than for him in the end, though, because her parents are so totally clueless it's not even funny!
    Great review!

  2. I know.... I wanted to just slap them!! They expect so much from her. I would die if my kids had to hide things from me like that... so sad.

I felt he adrenaline from these scenes, and really got in to it. I loved how Isaiah appeared hard, but inside he was utterly amazing, sweet, and swoon worthy! Great Review!

  4. Great review! I loved this book and Isaiah too! I agree, I though he was a total bad boy before but he is so much more and I adored Rachel. They are so freaking cute together. Her brothers really pissed me off but I'm sure Katie will work her magic and make me fall in love with West in the next book.
