I didn’t know she was a detective, the only daughter of the Chief of Police.
I didn’t know he was a mafia Prince, heir to the Tyrell’s bloody empire.
It was only supposed to be one night.
God help me, I can’t stop thinking about that night.
So, when she walked into the interrogation room my heart almost stopped.
I can’t believe he might have tortured and killed someone.
I have to avoid her at all costs.
I will be his downfall.
So begins a deadly game of cat and mouse, of blood and lust, of love and duty, and of an attraction so fierce the consequences are inevitable…

Inspired by Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet, this is a retelling for mature audiences. Don’t enter the Underworld if you’re scared of the dark.

How good was Love Sprung From Hate, you might ask? It was freaking fantastic! From the opening scenes I was pulled into this world as Julianna and Roman's story unravelled, and I could see that they had insane chemistry. It was packed with action, suspense, intensity and a few sizzling scenes that will hook the reader into wanting more.

Julianna was a detective, and Roman was the youngest son of the Tyrell Mafia Empire. I could feel how attracted Julianna and Roman were to one another, as they spent one unforgettable night together. I loved seeing how passionate they were, and the soul deep connection that they shared, and that they were reluctant to part ways. However, forces outside of their control brought them together again and they had to face each other from opposite sides, while trying to hide the connection that they have for one another.

I was quite impressed with Love Sprung From Hate, it left a lasting impression on me and it established the perfect base to the Dark Romeo series. I was able to see Julianna and Roman together, and also a glimpse into both of their worlds. I devoured the book quickly, and was swept away in Sienna Blake's fabulous story telling. I enjoyed her picturesque descriptions so it felt I was right there seeing what was going on. I enjoyed the how the story became intense and built up... to leave me craving the next book! Bring on July, I CANNOT wait!

Two swoons today, the feeling of a kiss, and some sexy flirting!!

I needed her. I knew she could feel what she was doing to me. Her mouth parted as she sucked in a breath. Those fucking lips, so plump and inviting, so pink and juicy. I needed those lips.
I closed my mouth on hers before I knew what I was doing. She was soft, so fucking soft, as I sucked on her bottom lip.

“At this rate, we won’t get to your hotel room,” I complained half-heartedly. I wasn’t kidding.
“Whose fault is that?” he said, his hands still roaming my body, threatening to tip me over into a full-blown distraction.
“Yours. Stop kissing me like that—”
“Stop being so kissable.”
“—and touching me like that.”
“Stop being so sexy.”

Mister O by Lauren Blakely ~ Audio book Review & Quote-tastic (@LaurenBlakely3)

I can't help but pick up a Lauren Blakely read, because I know she will deliver a romance that will get me hooked! Since I met the characters in Big Rock, I knew it was going to be a fun, entertaining ride!

Just call me Mister O. Because YOUR pleasure is my super power.

Making a woman feel ‘oh-god-that’s-good’ is the name of the game, and if a man can’t get the job done, he should get out of the bedroom. I’m talking toe-curling, mind-blowing, sheet-grabbing ecstasy. Like I provide every time.

I suppose that makes me a superhero of pleasure, and my mission is to always deliver.

BUT then I'm thrown for a loop when a certain woman asks me to teach her everything about how to win a man. The only problem? She's my best friend's sister, but she's far too tempting to resist--especially when I learn that sweet, sexy Harper, has a dirty mind too and wants to put it to good use. What could possibly go wrong as I give the woman I've secretly wanted some no-strings-attached lessons in seduction?

No one will know, even if we send a few naughty texts. Okay, a few hundred. Or if the zipper on her dress gets stuck. Not on that! Or if she gives me those get-over-here-and-take-me-eyes on the train in front of her whole family.

The trouble is the more nights I spend with her in bed, the more days I want to spend with her out of bed. And for the first time ever, I'm not only thinking about how to make a woman cry out in pleasure -- I'm thinking about how to keep her in my arms for a long time to come.

Looks like the real Adventures of Mister O have only just begun....

After reading Big Rock, and seeing the chemistry between Nick and Harper, I knew I had to grab Mister O, to see whether they would act on their feelings. It turned out to be a fun and sexy read, as Nick tried to school Harper on dating, and being around a guy. It was amusing, I tell ya, watching them flirt and fall for one another!

Nick was a nerdy type guy, handsome, hot, built... wears glasses and had a beard! He had a successful dirty cartoon that he created, that had set him up for life. He crossed paths with Harper, his best friends sister, while he was signing autographs at an event his network set up. Harper was an interesting character; a magician by trade, good with children but a fumbling mess when it came to the opposite sex that she was attracted to. I liked that she was relaxed around Nick and spoke what she was feeling, most of the time.

Nick and Harper had a solid, carefree relationship where they could talk about anything. It was good to see their relationship shift and they slowly gave into their attraction to one another. Nick was constantly thinking of his best friend, and trying not to act on his feelings, but Harper was irresistible.

Mister O was told solely from the male perspective and I think Lauren Blakely is a master of delivering strong, dominant male characters. She has created a world that I like to return to, and I know I will again in the future. I enjoyed seeing Spencer and Charlotte again as well, and knowing their relationship continued to strengthen. And have I mentioned Sebastian York? He is one of my favourite narrators and I thought he delivered another fabulous read. He has that beautiful voice that mesmerises me, and he portrays all the voices perfectly. I'm sure I will be back in this world sometime soon!

Hmmm... Nick and Harper were so good together, and you can tell through these little snippets that the chemistry was amazing!

“You have good hands. You know what to do with them.”
“I do know what to do with them, and what I want to do with them,” I say, as my fingers travel to the edge of her shoulder. Even this small touch turns me on like crazy. “And I want to touch you so fucking much.”
“Oh God, please touch me.” The words spill out of her in a breathless rush.

“Strip for me.” Tossing my jacket on a chair, I park myself on the couch and lace my hands behind my head. “Do it nice and slow.”
She nods, reaching for her jacket. “Everything, Professor Hammer?”
I shake my head as I rake my eyes over her. “Take off the jacket, sweater, and skirt. Leave everything else on. That’s the lesson. How you can drive a man wild when you’re half-naked.”
“Do I drive you wild?” she asks, as she joins me in the living room and shimmies off the coat.
“So much,” I say, my voice husky and my eyes never straying from her as I nod to her skirt.

My Best Friend's Ex by Meghan Quinn ~ Review & Swoon Thursday (@AuthorMegQuinn, @wordsmithpublic)

I've read a few of Meghan Quinn's books now, and I was quite excited to pick this one up! It was fun, but had a touch of seriousness to it as well. I hope you get a chance to check it out too!

When I found an eviction notice taped on my apartment door, I had two options: find a comfortable cardboard box to call home, or move in with Tucker Jameson.

Seeing that cardboard makes me feel itchy, I chose the latter. Which shouldn't be that big of a deal Tucker is one of my good friends. And because he's still pining after his ex-girlfriend and I'm trying to finish my nursing degree, there is nothing to worry about in the romance department, making my last semester an easy one to conquer.

Boy, was I wrong.

Rules are set, dinners are made, conversations are had, and a shirtless, swoony roommate walks around in nothing but a pair of black briefs, ruining me for every other man.

Before I know it, I turn into a panting, lust-filled woman begging for Tucker to kiss me, touch me, and show me exactly what is hiding under those briefs.

But with great orgasms, comes great consequences.

Tucker might be my friend and roommate but he’s also my best friend's ex-boyfriend, making him completely off-limits. At least that's what my brain is telling me, my heart is speaking an entirely different language.

Ahhh... Meghan Quinn! You sure know how to hook a girl, and what a fabulous read My Best Friend's Ex turned out to be! I knew that it would be a bit of an emotional read, but mostly it was fun and sweet as Emma helped bring happiness back into Tuckers life.

Tucker had been through so much already in life, so he forced a smile to his face when deep inside he was still hurting. It was good to see the change in him by just being around Emma. He was determined to keep her smiling and kept doing things to bring that warmth into his home.

Emma moved in with Tucker because she was out of options. Emma was the type of girl that looked out for everyone. She had known Tucker for a long time, but she regretted not keeping in touch with him after he split with Sadie. She started to see Tucker in a new light but felt she couldn't break that girl code. Each sweet thing that Tucker did melted her heart a little more, hell mine too! So I knew that these two were going to fall hard!

The sexual tension between Emma and Tucker grew so thick! He wasn't ready to go to that next step, and all that flirting, kissing and touching would give anyone blue balls! When they finally hit the sheets it was intense, explosive and just perfect! I knew they would be great together and I could see that they were both falling hard.

I'm used to reading books by Meghan Quinn that are packed full of humour, but My Best Friend's Ex has a little more seriousness to it as Tucker struggled with his past. There was plenty of swoon moments, and sizzling sex scenes, and a deep plot that had me engaged right until the very last page. There were a few characters introduced that I hope we get to see again too! Well done Meghan, you delivered another fabulous read... but please give me more RACER!!

I have two swoons today, the first one is short and to the point, but the second one was such a fun moment, you need to read it!

“I want this, Emma. I want your arms around me, your lips on mine, your body tangled in my sheets, naked next to me. We just have to go slow, despite how much my dick thinks differently. My mind has to catch up.”

“You know what I mean. It’s just not fair. So if I can’t egg moan, you can’t wear those shirts.”
“Okay,” I answer, agreeing easily.
“Okay.” She nods, happy with herself. As she scoops up more eggs, I reach behind me and pull my shirt over my head where I toss it on the back of my chair. When I turn back around to face her, her mouth is open, eggs still on the fork, staring at my chest. “What are you doing?”
I look down at my bare chest and then back up at her. “You said you didn’t want me to wear that shirt around you, so I took care of the problem.”
She drops the fork of eggs on her plate and leans back in her chair while crossing her arms over her chest. “You don’t play fair, Jameson.”
I wink at her. “Never said I did, baby.”
She mumbles something under her breath and then cocks an eyebrow at me. “Fine.” Before I can respond, she grabs the hem of her shirt and pulls it over her head, dropping the garment to the floor and revealing her delicious naked body. With a wicked and smarmy smile, she picks up her fork and starts eating her eggs again . . . while moaning.
Tou-fucking-ché. With emphasis on the fucking . . .

Born in New York and raised in Southern California, Meghan has grown into a sassy, peanut butter eating, blonde haired swearing, animal hoarding lady. She is known to bust out and dance if “It’s Raining Men” starts beating through the air and heaven forbid you get a margarita in her, protect your legs because they may be humped.

Once she started commuting for an hour and twenty minutes every day to work for three years, she began to have conversations play in her head, real life, deep male voices and dainty lady coos kind of conversations. Perturbed and confused, she decided to either see a therapist about the hot and steamy voices running through her head or start writing them down. She decided to go with the cheaper option and started writing… enter her first novel, Caught Looking.

Now you can find the spicy, most definitely on the border of lunacy, kind of crazy lady residing in Colorado with the love of her life and her five, furry four legged children, hiking a trail or hiding behind shelves at grocery stores, wondering what kind of lube the nervous stranger will bring home to his wife. Oh and she loves a good boob squeeze!

Royally Screwed by Emma Chase ~ Review & Quote-tastic (@EmmaChse)

Nicholas Arthur Frederick Edward Pembrook, Crowned Prince of Wessco, aka “His Royal Hotness,” is wickedly charming, devastatingly handsome, and unabashedly arrogant―hard not to be when people are constantly bowing down to you.

Then, one snowy night in Manhattan, the prince meets a dark haired beauty who doesn’t bow down. Instead, she throws a pie in his face.

Nicholas wants to find out if she tastes as good as her pie, and this heir apparent is used to getting what he wants.

Dating a prince isn’t what waitress Olivia Hammond ever imagined it would be.
There’s a disapproving queen, a wildly inappropriate spare heir, relentless paparazzi, and brutal public scrutiny. While they’ve traded in horse drawn carriages for Rolls Royces and haven’t chopped anyone’s head off lately―the royals are far from accepting of this commoner.

But to Olivia―Nicholas is worth it.

Nicholas grew up with the whole world watching, and now Marriage Watch is in full force. In the end, Nicholas has to decide who he is and, more importantly, who he wants to be: a King... or the man who gets to love Olivia forever.

I'm one of those girls that's a sucker for stories about a girl falling for a prince... so I knew I would love Royally Screwed, I'm just kicking myself I didn't pick it up earlier! It was such a feel good read, and gave me the warm fuzzies as I watched Nicholas and Olivia meet and slowly fall in love!

Nicholas was every girls dream guy: tall, confident and handsome. He took his role in the royal family very seriously as he knew that he was next in line to the thrown. He went to New York to retrieve his brother after getting an ultimatum from the Queen, his grandmother. It was amusing to see Nicholas being carefree, doing what he liked with his time there, knowing everything will change in a few short months.

Olivia's family business was struggling, but she was doing all she could to keep the doors open. When two men with strong accents entered her store, she wasn't sure what to expect. I really enjoyed the banter between Olivia and Nicholas, he certainly pushed Olivia to her limits and she stood her ground and didn't take his crap. Every time these two got together I could see they were falling deeper and deeper... and even I wanted the fairy tale!

It's been a while since I've read a book by Emma Chase, but this book showed me what a wonderful author she is. I loved every moment of being in this world, watching the characters enjoy the time they had, and for Olivia to show she was a strong woman and could adjust to Nicholas' world. There was a terrific cast of characters that fleshed out the story more, Olivia's sister and work friend Marty, and Nicholas's brother Henry, cousin Simon and Franny. They brought their own style and flair to the storyline and I want to get to know each of them more! I NEED to get back into this world, soon!

I have three teasers today... Prince Nicholas is just so dreamy! I hope you enjoy these!

“Well, then—I’ll be over there in case you’d like to join me.”
“That’s what you’re going to do all morning? Stay here?”
“That’s the plan, yes.”
“Don’t you have… stuff to do? Important stuff?”
“Probably.”
“Then why aren’t you doing it?”
He searches my face, those eyes falling to my mouth like he can’t tear his eyes away. “I like looking at you.”

Kindle Loc 835

“I… I wasn’t sure what you had planned for tonight. You didn’t tell me.”
Those long lashes blink, but he doesn’t say anything. I raise my hand toward the kitchen.
“I can go change if this isn’t—”
“No.” Nicholas steps forward, his hand up. “No, don’t change a thing. You’re… absolutely perfect.”

Kindle Loc 1146

“You look breathtaking, love. I can’t decide if I want you to stay in that dress forever or if I want to rip it off you right now.”
