Review ~ Twisted by Emma Chase

There are two kinds of people in the world. The ones who look first, and the ones who leap. I’ve always been more of a looker. Cautious. A planner. That changed after I met Drew Evans. He was so persistent. So sure of himself – and of me.

But not all love stories end happily ever after. Did you think Drew and I were going to ride off into the sunset? Join the club. Now I have to make a choice, the most important of my life. Drew already made his –in fact, he tried to decide for the both of us. But you know that’s just not my style. So I came back to Greenville. Alone. Well, sort of alone....

What I've come to realize is that old habits die hard and sometimes you have to go back to where you began, before you can move ahead.

TWISTED picks up two years after Tangled’s end, and is told from Kate’s POV.

Kate and Drew, what can I say… They are one intense couple. When things are good, they are really good, but when they lack communication, well, crap hits the fan not only in the room but pretty much everywhere! They are such an entertaining couple, that I get swept away in the pages, and they keep me up reading late into the night.

Most of this story is told from Kate's perspective. We get to see Drew and all his idiotism’s through her eyes! I know how passionate Drew can be but when he has a thought in his head, he not only runs with it, he keeps steamrolling with it. So when there is a major twist thrown in, miscommunication leads to a whole lot of trouble.

It was amusing to watch Drew and Kate again. They are definitely a force to be reckoned with. They are passionate and stubborn… And for people that are so smart and in tune with one another, they sure can be stupid! There were times in the book I wanted to shake them, but it wouldn't be Kate and Drew if there wasn't drama.

I liked seeing some of the side characters again, especially those that Kate is close to like DeeDee and Billy. After seeing them through Kate's eyes I got a whole new perspective, especially Billy. He is actually a really great guy and will support Kate about anything.

Again I enjoyed Emma's writing style. The inner dialogue that Kate runs through is often hilarious, and I really enjoyed the Epilogue, which is the only part of the book in Drew’s perspective. I was happy with how the story wrapped up and we were able to get final thoughts from Drew. I’m looking forward to more stories in this world, that’s for sure!
