She's playing hard to get… to win the MMA fighter of her ultimate fantasies in a sultry new novel from New York Times bestselling author Lori Foster…

Vanity Baker loves a good, clean match, but she's not above playing a little dirty. She's wanted Stack "The Wolf" Hannigan from day one. Seems as though the best way to corral the famously commitment-phobic fighter is to insist on keeping it casual. And her plan works—deliciously well—until Stack's past steps out of the shadows.

Stack learned early to stay free of attachments. But with sexy, forthright Vanity, he's the one always left wanting more. Then his troublemaking family comes back into the picture, threatening everything Stack cares about—Vanity included. Suddenly he realizes they're much more than friends with benefits. He's ready to go to the mat for her…but will it be in time to protect the woman who's tamed him for good?

The Ultimate series of Lori Foster’s is one of my favourites! I’ve read each book from this series so far and have loved every one. Big macho, alpha-male fighters, falling in love with strong, independent girls! Throw in a little suspense and a few sizzling scenes, what more could I ask for?

Stack and Vanity have had an attraction for some time, so Vanity decided to convince Stack to go with her to Cannon and Yvette’s wedding in exchange for a night of passion. I could see that they both had deeper feelings for one another, and the more time they spent together, the harder it was for them to be apart. Stack introduced Vanity to his Mother and sister Tabby, and he could see how much his family liked her.

There were a few hiccups and threats along the way, and I liked how independent Vanity was, she didn’t expect Stack to save her at every turn, instead she accomplished things for herself. Stack was the typical possessive male, trying to run off his friends if they looked at Vanity, but he was glad that they had his back.

Tough Love was another great read in the series, and despite a bit of miscommunication, it was good to see their relationship grow. I enjoyed the alternating perspectives between Stack and Vanity, as well as a few other characters that will get their own books soon. I like the way that Lori creates her worlds; Vanity and Stack are both good people and are willing to stand up for themselves if they feel threatened. They both have a great group of friends that will drop anything to be at their sides when needed. The suspense in this book wasn’t as dramatic as previous books, but I enjoyed it nonetheless. I am eager to get my hands on Armie and Merissa’s book… I can see some interesting pasts being revealed there!

“Wow,” she said, eyeing each of them in turn. “Was there a casting call for certified studs that I somehow missed?”

Newly Exposed by Meghan Quinn ~ Review & Quote-tastic

Adam James is a corn-fed, Nebraska raised, piece of man meat with a chiseled body and baby face. He is in desperate need of a paycheck and will do just about anything to get one, including stripping down to his skivvies and lathering up in baby oil.

Solo Cohan is a quirky hipster with a strong work ethic, raised by two gay dads who are head over heels in love with Harrison Ford and Star Wars, hence the name, Solo. She works for Teeg Model Management, the same modeling agency that decides to book Adam as their next up and coming model. Sparks ignite between her and Adam the minute her baby oil soaked hand connects with his practically naked body.

Even though Solo can't stop thinking about Adam during photo shoots, she quickly and awkwardly, shows Adam her distaste for male models and her inability to engage romantically with them. Adam is captivated by her nerdy talk and peculiar tendencies and sets out to make it his mission to turn the Star Wars loving hipster to the dark side, where mingling with models is widely arousing.

Newly Exposed is the fifth book I have read by Meghan Quinn; she has a way of pulling me into her sexy worlds and sweeps me away with her easy writing style. There’s a great mix of humour, charisma and passion woven throughout the story. It’s light on the angst and has the right amount of drama without going overboard.

Solo is great at her job, but a bad break up had her swear off models. She tried to stay away from Adam, but their attraction was too strong. She is a bit insecure though, and at times I wanted to shake her!

Adam was a real sweetie. He has that baby-faced look, but is chiselled to perfection. He may be a bit nerdy, but when it comes to the bedroom, he’s a take charge kind of guy. The most important people in his life are his sick mother and his Aunt, and he will do anything to make money to help his mother get better.

I liked the slow building romance between Solo and Adam. They had a lot of common interests, one of which was Star Wars. The original trilogy was my favourite out of the saga too, so when they were discussing the movies, using a light saber and how the cinnamon bun helps pull off the Princess Leia look, I totally could picture it.

I enjoyed the modelling aspect, and would’ve liked to see more of it in this book. Photographing a sexy body can be extremely erotic, and that would’ve been hot with Solo and Adam. They had a few moments, and incorporated some of their nerdy interests into a night of passion.

I felt that this book just coasted along in the beginning; Adam and Solo got to know each other slowly and their attraction to one another continue to grow. They were explosive in the bedroom, and a few twists were thrown in late in the book to build some intensity. In the end I was happy with Newly Exposed, and I want to see more of the side characters, especially Nolly and Scout.

I loved this sweet moment between Adam and Solo...

“Don’t hurt me,” I squeaked out. His face softened from my request. He bent down and kissed my lips one last time before stepping away and looking down at the briefs. “I could never hurt you, Solo, you’re too damn precious to me.”

Born in New York and raised in Southern California, Meghan has grown into a sassy, peanut butter eating, blonde haired swearing, animal hoarding lady. She is known to bust out and dance if “It’s Raining Men” starts beating through the air and heaven forbid you get a margarita in her, protect your legs because they may be humped.

Once she started commuting for an hour and twenty minutes every day to work for three years, she began to have conversations play in her head, real life, deep male voices and dainty lady coos kind of conversations. Perturbed and confused, she decided to either see a therapist about the hot and steamy voices running through her head or start writing them down. She decided to go with the cheaper option and started writing… enter her first novel, Caught Looking.

Now you can find the spicy, most definitely on the border of lunacy, kind of crazy lady residing in Colorado with the love of her life and her five, furry four legged children, hiking a trail or hiding behind shelves at grocery stores, wondering what kind of lube the nervous stranger will bring home to his wife. Oh and she loves a good boob squeeze!

He was someone who belonged in my wildest fantasies instead of a rest stop in the middle of Nebraska.

A sexy, cocky, Australian named Chance was the last person I expected to run into on my cross-country drive.

When my car broke down, we made a deal. Next thing I knew, we were traveling together, spending sexually-tense nights in hotels and taking unplanned detours.

My ordinary road trip turned into the adventure of a lifetime. It was all fun and games until things got intense.

I wanted him, but Chance wouldn’t make a move. I thought he wanted me too, but something was holding him back.

I wasn’t supposed to fall for the cocky bastard, especially when I knew we’d be going our separate ways.

All good things must come to an end, right?

Except our ending was one I didn’t see coming.

I purchased Cocky Bastard because if you are unaware, I’m an Aussie and it had me intrigued! I’m telling you it was an incredible read, which had me laughing right from the start! What started as a boring trip from Chicago to California for Aubrey, turned into a fun, lust filled adventure, seeing a few sites and picking up a cocky Aussie and a goat! Haha! Yes, you read correctly, and I have you intrigued… you must read this one to see what happened there!

The first part of the book is from Aubrey’s perspective, and was probably my favourite, as Aubrey takes in Chance, who is an outspoken, confident and sexy-as-sin Aussie. She loves his accent and they both fight the attraction that they have for one another. He constantly slips in cheeky remarks that cracked me up as she wondered whether or not she heard him correctly. They were both falling hard, but I had that feeling… you know the one, where you can tell something big is going to happen… then bam!

The second part of the book is all Chance… I learned so much about him, what he did and how much of a good guy he really is. My heart was already broken, and then it shattered a little bit more. I loved his passion though, and his willingness to win Aubrey over, again! I also learned what Aubrey had to endure and the struggles she had to get back on track.

Penelope Ward and Vi Keeland have done a remarkable job at piecing this story together! There were so many elements that I loved; the building chemistry, the humour and witty banter between the characters but overall, the undeniable love that they had for one another. There were plenty of fun times, but there were hard times for them too. The epilogue, well it brought tears to my eyes! I was so happy for them in the end! My only problem… I loved this story so much that I never wanted it to end! You Gals are amazing, and I cannot wait to see what future projects you have for us!

Vi Keeland is a native New Yorker with three children that occupy most of her free time, which she complains about often, but wouldn't change for the world. She is a bookworm and has been known to read her kindle at stop lights, while styling her hair, cleaning, walking, during sporting events, and frequently while pretending to work.  She is a boring attorney by day, and an exciting smut author by night!
