If you are looking for a light, amusing read you need to give this one a try! Pepper Winters showed me that she can write something other than her dark reads, and still get you hooked!
Title: Can't Touch This
Author: Tess Hunter, Pepper Winters
Series: Can't Touch This #1
Genre: Contemporary Romance
From New York Times Bestseller Pepper Winters writing as Tess Hunter, comes a sarcastic, sexy standalone full of men with big 'you know whats', puppies, pigmy pigs, and swoon-worthy moments.
I don't want to touch it.
I really, really don't.
He's egotistical, crass, and my patient's owner--which makes him totally off limits.
Yep, that's right. He owns the wiener I'm currently working on.
A wiener dog--get your dirty mind out of the gutter.
I've also worked on his Spoodle, his Cocker-shitzu, and a Cheagle--don't ask. (And no, it's not a sexual position).
It doesn't help that he also represents most of my joint-owned veterinary practice's small clientele. We'd only just opened the doors a few months ago, and in he strode with a yelping Taco Terrier. One haughty look at our sparkling new facilities, he'd demanded royal treatment, even though I was currently finger deep up a squalling tom cat.
Ever since then, he expects me to serve him.
Any time. All the time.
Him and his revolving zoo of dogs.
One of these days, I'm going to swat him for being such a pompous ass but I can't deny the way he handles his charges makes me want to see past the 'do as I say and don't ask questions' barking exterior.
But then last week...he caught me staring at his um, cough, package.
His bossy commands switched to a cocky smirk.
He gave me permission to do something I promised myself I would never ever do.
I can touch it.
If I want...

I wasn't sure what I really expected diving into this one, but I wasn't expecting a dorky vet and her alpha male client to be so kinky!! It was an amusing read as these two fumbled through their relationship together and shared their passion of helping animals.
In the beginning Vesper and Ryder only tolerated each other due to Ryder being an over bearing client. He expected Ves to drop everything to be at his beck and call. However, when Ves helped him with his newest acquisition, I could see the sparks flying and it was amusing to see them fumble and flirt with one another!
Ves was such a beautiful person; she was selfless and cared for each animal that was bought into her clinic. She loved her job and had a strong relationship with her best friend and business partner. The more time Vesper spent with Ryder I could see that some of her secret desires had come to the surface!
Although Ryder had lost his parents, he had found his purpose by saving animals. The effort and the vision he had was amazing, and the amount of animals he saved would warm anyone's heart! Vesper pushed his buttons in the beginning, but he liked teasing her and making her uncomfortable.
I enjoyed getting to know each of the characters and seeing their connection strengthen. I could see that they were perfect together, but like most relationships, there were obstacles they needed to get past.
Can't Touch This is a lighter read than what I'm used to reading by Tess Hunter/Pepper Winters. I understand that animals are a big passion for both of the characters, but after a while it felt like a little too much. I wanted them to do something that wasn't focused on the animals... but if you like your reads filled with amazing K-9's, a feisty kitty and an adorable pig, you must pick this one up!
I have a couple of amusing quotes today, that run into each other... you'll get the hint!! 😉
“Was that a man I just saw, child? A man with his twig and berries exposed?”

“If you don’t get rid of her and come here, I’m gonna jizz on your curtains.”
Her eyes flashed to my cock as I fisted it in a death grip. My quads vibrated with the urge to come.
“Don’t you dare.” Her eyes narrowed. “I like those curtains.”
“Get rid of her then.”
A twinkle appeared in her gaze. “Or what?”

Tess Hunter is the superhero pen name of a New York Times, Wall Street Journal, & USA Today Bestseller who gave up swallowing her one-liners and decided to write them instead. Her libido scares even her and having an outlet to be snarky, stupid, and sexy while cloaked by incognito is the perfect recipe for naughtiness online and in-between the romance pages.
Pepper Winters is the mastermind behind Tess Hunter. She’s been lucky enough to publish upward of eighteen books, hit multiple bestseller lists, and earn numerous accolades. She does everything in her power to deliver the best book she can. In the past, she used to favour dark heroes and feisty heroines, but now she has a new appreciation for handsome sweethearts and witty girls. Who knows? Perhaps, she’ll be two people now. Two names for two genres of books. It wouldn’t be so bad.
It just means more books, so that’s a plus in any bookworm’s world, right?
