Delaney, a professional bodyguard, has spent years trying to prove herself in a male dominated industry. Now she's facing her greatest challenge yet.

Bad boy billionaire Jax Shields has made plenty of enemies on his climb to the top, but being in the wrong place at the wrong time has put his life at risk. Now he's putting his life in the hands of Delaney and her team. He demands the best in everything, and he doesn't think she has what it takes to protect him. He's also made it clear he'd rather have her on her back then covering his. Will Delaney be able to prove herself to the most arrogant—and devastatingly handsome—man she's ever met?

**Hard To Forget is a full-length standalone romance with a HEA**

I have enjoyed all the books in the Alpha's Heart series, so it’s no surprise that I enjoyed Hard to Forget too. I really enjoy Bella Jewel’s writing and how she’s bringing us stories of girls trying to fit into jobs that are typically for men. The girl’s are strong willed and the men are not used to being challenged. Hard to Forget was a difficult and intense journey for Delaney, but sizzling hot too!

Like the previous books, the female lead is trying to fit into an unusual job for a female; Delaney (Laney) has trained for a long time to become a bodyguard. To get her first job she has to prove herself and it took a few tries but she finally succeeded and landed her first job: guarding Jaxson Shields. He was an a$$ to Laney in the beginning, not believing that she could guard him and she had to prove it to him too.

Laney lacked a little confidence in herself to begin with, but once she began her job she took it seriously and really stepped up. There were a few hiccups along the way, but she managed to learn from them and move on. The connection between Laney and Jax grew slowly throughout the story. They barley tolerated one another in the beginning and Laney did well to maintain her calm façade, even though she was fuming underneath. She began to have lustful thoughts and it wasn’t long until they were both acting on them.

There were some suspense filled moments, where the danger intensified. Laney is still human and showed that it affected her. Jax wasn’t as emotionless as he made himself out to be either. I liked Nak, Laney’s boss, because he had her back at all times and had faith in her when almost everyone else around her didn’t. I liked meeting Laney’s family too: her aunt, uncle and cousin Jed have been everything to her for so long and believed in her. It was an exciting journey, although I felt the ending a little rushed. It was another memorable read and I’m eager to see what Bella will bring us next!
