My rating: 4 of 5 stars
I thoroughly enjoyed reading Not What I Expected. It was such a good read, and anyone who has ended a long term relationship can relate to it. Not knowing who you are after being with the one person for so long and having to find your own feet again can be quite challenging
I liked Elsie's honesty and finally having the confidence to make change. The chemistry between Elsie and Kael was off the charts and it was amusing to see her take a chance with him. I liked the way he pushed her to face her insecurities, to find herself and - hopefully - the happiness that she needed, despite her family’s thoughts.
