Feature & Follow #7

Feature & Follow is a blog hop hosted by Parajunkee & Alison Can Read. The purpose is to meet new people and gain more followers in the book blogging community. If this is your first time here, welcome! You are about to make some new friends and gain new followers — but you have to know — the point of this hop is to follow other bloggers also. I follow you, you follow me.

Here’s this week’s question:
What is the BIGGEST word you’ve seen used in a book lately – that made you stop and look it up? Might as well leave the definition & book too.

Actually, I will admit I was constantly checking BIG words when I started reading two years ago. I hadn’t read a book since I finished school and with the three children I am raising, I haven’t really needed big words as they are 7, 5 and 3! I haven’t had to check definitions very often lately and for the life of me I can’t remember the last word I checked or which book it was in!! (If I come across one today I will share it with you!)

What do you think?
What's your FF?

  2. It's so quick and easy to find a definition when reading on my Nook that I probably would have also found it impossible to answer this question but I just finished reading Cloud Atlas by David Mitchell and there were plenty of words I should have looked up, one in particular stood out to me. Check it out here

  4. I confess it's really rare when I check a definition, it's not very pleasant to do that when you read a book...

  5. Hopping through. It's really hard to think of a big word on the spur of the moment.

I have a habit to highlight the words in my Kindle Fire, and always look them up right then, as it so easy but i do leave them highlighted as I like to look back at them, always expanding my vocabulary when I can.

Don't know where my comment went, Its gone, well, if this is double post, sorry. I was saying I like to highlight in my Kindle Fire, and keep that way, to look back, and also look up right there, as its just one click, very handy.
