The Big Easy
A city known for its magic, sparkle and overwhelming amount of supernatural creatures, it is one vacation Angelika Hart is not looking forward to in the slightest. A visit to her sister, Lena's, will mean dealing with her vampire boyfriend, Andreas, and a gorgeous Lycan King, Sebastiaan, who both seem to want something else from her besides her talented hacking skills.
The Attack
A night at the ultra popular club, Thirst, changes everything when Lena mysteriously disappears. What started out as a carefree getaway has turned into a full fledged mystery of what has happened to Angelika's sister, and whether she is still alive? Lena's disappearance does a lot more than shake the depths of Angelika's world and those around her. She finds herself in an impossibly difficult situation where an attraction to Andreas can set her on a course down a dark path she never meant to venture.
The Aftermath
After Lena is found, Angelika's life spins into a free fall where her controlling nature slips away, Andreas pierces her icy exterior and a choice has to be made. Her journey into the forbidden leaves her a changed person and she finds there is no way of going back once she is past the point of no return. As the bodies began to pile up, she has to make a decision that will ultimately change her destiny forever and those of everyone else around her.

If you are a fan of the HBO series, True Blood, you will like Hart Attack.

WARNING: This is paranormal romance novel with sexy good times, a couple of naughty half-Faerie half-shifter sisters, an Alpha Lycan King, a smokin' hot vampire, blood, and explicit language. Gore and closed door sex scenes? Not in this book.

This is a very fasted paced read. There is so much going on and everything flows together quickly. We meet many characters in this book and they are all completely different by the end of the book, either by appearance, personality or both. It is a crazy world where all the Supe’s are drop dead gorgeous and highly intelligent but they all lack emotion, Vampires, Shifters and Fey alike.

We meet Angelika who is a very wealthy computer hacker and is half human/sidhe. She is travelling to New Orleans to visit her sister, Lena and her Vampire boyfriend, Andreas. She hasn’t been very close with her sister as of late, so it has been a while since they caught up. When Angelika arrives at Andreas’ mansion she meets the Werewolf King of North America, Sebastiaan, who happens to be Andreas’ half brother. From the initial meet you can see that both Andreas and Sebastiaan are attracted to Angelika but she doesn’t like to let men too close to her, she doesn’t want a man in her life and she has had very few partners in her life so far. Her sister, Lena, has always been the more beautiful of the two girls and has used her looks to work her way up, but she becomes jealous after her sister arrives and she can see that both of the guys have an attraction to Angelika.

Andreas is a very powerful Vampire both in ability and status. He is a person of importance in the Vampire world and is very successful. He wants Angelika to work for him and is willing to do anything to get her. He has been alive for a long time and girls are usually just a novelty to pass the time and to satisfy his urges. Sebastiaan is a new King and comes across as a very relaxed character. He travels alone and has no body guards. In some cases I think he lacks confidence and second guesses himself. He has history with Lena but has an attraction to her sister. He has a great relationship with his half brother Andreas, but not with his other brother Max.

Max is a bit of a Villain in this novel and does some things that made me cringe. He is a fullblooded Werewolf who has been spoilt all his life by his parents. He brings conflict into the story and affects the lives of all the people in the book.

Things change very quickly in this book and I was thinking that it was all happening  too quickly, but after reading further and understanding the world that Elle has created you can see that it is the way of these Supernaturals. They are very detached from their feelings and don’t dwell on issues for long. She has written a couple of strong sex scenes into the story which leave nothing to the imagination!! I enjoyed watching the relationships of all the characters develop and seeing the shifts in their personalities. I didn’t have any idea as to which way the story was headed. It all has been set up for the next book in the series where we will see how all the characters will work together.
