My rating: 4 of 5 stars
This really was a slow build read, where we got to know both Violet and Miller from when they initially met at a young age. They were close right from the start, both having to deal with hard situations. They formed a strong bond after one terrible situation in particular. However, Violet was desperate to keep Miller in the friend zone.
I loved Miller, and how sweet he was. He was a good guy and put those he loved first. His back story was sad and then have to deal with his health was hard too. Violet had her goals set in life, and soon realised if she wanted to achieve them she had to work for it on her own. These two struggled with their feelings and getting the timing right. They were perfect for one another even when education, distance and fame kept them apart. I felt a few important parts were glossed over, but overall it was a good read.
