You’d think that being Chief Seer for the supernatural world would come with a few perks. But as Cassie Palmer has learned, being Pythia doesn’t mean you don’t have to do things the hard way. That’s why she finds herself on a rescue mission skipping through time—even though she doesn't entirely understand her dimension-bending new power.

Rescuing her friend John Pritkin should have been an in and out kind of deal, but with the near-immortal mage’s soul lost in time, Cassie has to hunt for it through the ages—with Pritkin’s demon dad in tow. He’s the only one who can reverse Pritkin’s curse, but with the guardians of the time-line dead set on stopping anyone from mucking about, Cassie will have to figure out how to get her friend back without ruffling too many feathers—or causing a world-ending paradox or two...

It has been a long two years, but Reap the Wind has finally arrived! If you haven’t read the previous books, you could pick this one up and understand what is going on as Karen gives you enough back-story when needed throughout the book. I’ve wanted this book for so long and now that I’m finished I’m happy… but I’ve been left frustrated once again.

Reap the Wind begins right after the end of Tempt the Stars, and we jump back in time as Cassie tries to break the hex on Pritkin’s soul. It isn’t easy for her and Rosier to get the job done, and it doesn’t help that the sparks fly between herself and the younger Pritkin. Cassie is constantly in danger and is thrust back into her normal time where she has to deal with her court and the building tension between her and Jonas.

There are a lot of problems in the present that Cassie has to deal with, but she needs to go back so far in time that she never thought it was possible. I liked this aspect of the story and seeing the pre-war-mage Pritkin! He was cheeky and trouble followed him everywhere! I liked seeing the battle between them and the Fey, and how they made allies with the troll fey. It was exciting and action packed and I could see this would be very helpful in the future.

Cassie continues to have trouble with the acolytes. They continue to stir up trouble and are determined to bring back a god, which will, in turn, ensure a war. She is struggling with the Vampires at times too, just when she think everything is ok with them. She has a strong connection with Mircea, but she feels more like a pawn to him too. Cassie feels that everyone is pushing her to do things instead of working together to prevent the war on the horizon.

To me I felt that this book was like an in-between read. There was plenty of action and a lot of details that will help in the future, but I got no real closure. Don’t get me wrong, I love Cassie, she’s a quick witted girl, who makes mistakes, she's always in danger and never has any peace, but I wanted her to get through this adventure before moving onto the next one. It felt like there were too many things happening and I’m going to have to wait until the next book to see if it all works out. Don't get me wrong, I really enjoyed the ride, the action and swoon moments, but I was hoping we'd be done with one thread this time. It’s going to be a long wait until April, 2016!

Here is a moment that's starting to heat up! I enjoyed this one, and this is who I want her to be with! * Fingers Crossed *

My hands were finding their way under his shirt, my fingers were ghosting over his ribs and nipples, and my palms were enjoying the feel of springy chest hair under my hands. And then he pushed me against the wall and kissed me again.
