Every girl needs to meet Caleb Blackstone! He might be filthy rich, but he's also a caring, honest and sexy guy! I loved watching the relationship between Caleb and Brooke grow!
Title: Filthy Rich
Author: Raine Miller
Series: Blackstone Dynasty #1
Genre: Contemporary Romance
Billionaire Caleb Blackstone lives in the glamorous world of wealth and success, with every material luxury. But the moment he sees Brooke Casterley, none of that matters. Caleb is filled with a raw, undeniable need that he can’t ignore…for a girl who is so completely different from everything and everyone he’s ever known.
Only Brooke isn’t looking for love. She knows all too well just how much damage the wrong guy can do. Still, what sane, broke British girl can resist the charms of an incredibly sexy, chivalrous billionaire? What starts as flirtation quickly turns into all-consuming passion. Nothing could have prepared her for the searing heat of Caleb’s touch—or just how much she craves him.
Their whirlwind romance is the stuff of high-society fantasy—but for every moment of pleasure, there is a cost. Past mistakes and tragedy shadow them both…and falling for him might be the kind of trouble she can’t afford.

For my first Raine Miller read, Filthy Rich was the perfect beginning for me! I loved getting to know Caleb and Brooke, and to see how much they changed after they met, and especially because they were two different worlds. The chemistry between them grew steadily and they were open and honest with one another, as all couples should be. It was a beautiful and heartfelt read that touched on some difficult moments that strengthened their love for one another.
From the opening chapters I could see that Caleb didn't believe that he would be tied down. The girl he was seeing wasn't right for him and left behind a whirlwind of damage after yelling at him. I was glad that he broke things off with her because that girl was a piece of work! Way too high maintenance! But after running into Brooke, and seeing his instant attraction to her, I liked the change in Caleb and how he pursued his instant attraction to her.
Brooke had been through some very difficult times and was just finding her feet once again. Her story was really heartbreaking and my chest ached for her. She wasn't willing to put up with being treated badly again and I loved the way she took care of herself! That strong personality was one of the things that drew Caleb to her, and it was sweet to see him woo her!
Caleb and Brooke were great together, and their relationship built gradually. They were open and honest about most things from the past and present, so understood the fears and struggles they each faced. I loved Caleb's protectiveness, how he loved Brooke fiercely from the moment he spoke to her, and how patient he was with her, waiting for her to come to him. Even though they were from different worlds – with Caleb being rich and Brooke struggled from day to day – they were perfect for one another! It was great to see that they were both close to their families as well, especially Brooke with her strong bond with her grandmother.
This was a great introduction for me to Raine Miller's work. The story was very character driven, with a lot of inner dialogue, that allowed me to understand the depth of Caleb and Brooke's feelings for one another. I usually like a little more interaction between characters, but I thought this story was put together perfectly. I'm keen to get my hands on more of Blackstone Dynasty books in the future, especially since James & Winter are next!

Caleb made me swoon, over and over! Here are a couple for you!
She’d already fallen asleep, her head on my pillow, my heart in her hands. I kissed her forehead and stilled as I thought about how right this actually felt. Hadn’t known I was missing anything. Hadn’t known it was possible for someone to steal your heart without even knowing they’d done it. Hadn’t known I needed her. I whispered the words I’d never said before to a woman who wasn’t related to me.
“I love you.”

Once we were both in, he turned toward me and said, “I need to do something first.”
“What’s that?”
e leaned over the console and took my face in his hands—a gesture I adored from him—and whispered, “This.”
Caleb kissed me senseless, deeply and thoroughly until I probably couldn’t remember my own name, let alone drive.

Raine Miller has been reading romance novels since she picked up that first Barbara Cartland book at the tender age of thirteen. And it's a safe bet she'll never stop, because now she writes them too! Granted Raine's stories are edgy enough to turn Ms. Cartland in her grave, but to her way of thinking, a hot, sexy hero never goes out of fashion. A former teacher, she's now writing sexy romance stories full time. She has a handsome prince of a husband, two brilliant sons, and two bouncy Italian Greyhounds to pull her back into the real world if the writing takes her too far away. Her sons know she likes to write stories, but gratefully have never asked to read any, thank God! Raine loves to hear from readers and to chat about the characters in her books.
