I have just loved reading about the Slater brothers and the Irish girls that capture their hearts. All the stories I have read so far are quite amusing and the banter between all the characters cracks me up. Alec and Keela were just as entertaining as well and their story was a pretty entertaining ride.
Keela requires a date to her cousin's wedding, and her best friend Aileen recommended Alec, because she knew that he was an escort. But Alec and Keela's first encounter didn't go very well, but she is the type of girl who is able to suck up her pride and approach him anyway. I just loved watching these two interact! Most of the time they hate each other, but Alec was upfront from the beginning, and she knew he wanted to sleep with her.
Alec is just as funny as his brothers, but he is more of a lover not a fighter. And on this trip to the Bahamas, we see how charming he can be. They do some sweet things together and they are continuously flirting with one another. I liked seeing the sweet side to Alec and not just the cockiness he usually had going on. He became a little protective of Keela and you could see that he was slowly letting her in.
I think that L.A. Casey pieced this story together perfectly. I liked the lightheartness of it, but there was a touch of danger woven into the storyline, like there was in the first book. Alec and Keela's lives are more entwined than either of them realised, and even though I caught the hints of it earlier than they did, it didn't change how I felt about the overall story. Alec did do something that would have most people in a huff, because he had an agreement with Keela, but the danger of his world had his hands tied. I could understand why he did it, but I still wanted to strangle him!! I love the bond that all the Brother's have and come to each other's rescue when needed. This series is definitely one of my favourite's now and I cannot wait for more!!

This sounds like a really fun series and highly character driven which is always what I love in this genre. I also like how the relationship between all characters is well developed, not just the romantic ones. Great review, Naomi! :)
