Review/Giveaway ~ Fractured Lines by Jen McLaughlin Out of Line #4

Fractured Lines (Out of Line, #4)Title: Fractured Lines
Author: Jen McLaughlin
Series: Out of Line #4
Genre: Contemporary Romance
Published: October 14th 2014

The lines we once crossed so easily have widened and torn us apart . . .

Once upon a time I thought Finn and I would live happily ever after, but real life doesn't always have a happy ending. He's testing my trust, and I'm losing faith in the man I thought I'd spend the rest of my life with, and there’s nothing I do can stop it. He’s the one I trusted to keep me safe, but now he’s the source of my greatest pain . . .

Forgiveness is fragile, and some fractures never fully heal . . .

One mistake—a slip in a moment of weakness—might cost me everything I've worked so hard for. The thing about trust is that it's a lot easier to lose than it is to build. Just as I'm about to give up and surrender to the demons from my past, an unexpected threat reminds me what I'm best at: protecting the woman I love. Whether or not she wants me, I will fight for Carrie and our daughter, and I will keep them safe—no matter the cost.

Even if I have to put my life and my heart on the line.

I have been a fan of the Out of Line series from the beginning and I really enjoyed this continuation of Carrie and Finn's story. I often contemplate whether or not characters get their HEA, and in this case they did, until and accident bought back demons from both of their pasts.

The accident started a chain of events that threw Carrie and Finn’s lives into turmoil. Carrie questions a lot of Finns decisions and wants the best for her family. She has no intention of travelling down the same path she did 8 years ago, and will not do it this time either. I loved how stern she was with her decisions even though it was breaking her heart. Finn was in denial about his PTSD, and even though Carrie tried to get through to him, he couldn't come to terms with it. Seeing him work through his thoughts was really eye opening, because I could see this happening in real life and in the end they would lose the ones they love the most.

Although this was a hard journey for both Carrie and Finn, I really enjoyed it. They worked through the lies, deceit and broken trust to make their relationship stronger than it ever was. Jen wove in some sexy bedroom scenes and a twist that had me on the edge of my seat with tears in my eyes.  Fans of this series will love this book, so get onto it NOW!!
