I thoroughly enjoyed The Darkest Part, the first book in this emotionally charged series by Trisha Wolfe, and when I saw that Losing Track was going to be Melody’s book, I was super excited to get into her head. She and her friend Dar were a couple of fun gal’s in the first book and I thought this would be an entertaining ride.

  

When I started reading it, I don’t think I was totally prepared for the emotional turmoil that it would put me through. I had tears in my eyes right from the beginning. Melody is hit with difficult situations, one after another, right from the beginning. Her world is not just shattered, it was blown apart and she finds it hard to cope. She is forced into rehab and it’s while she’s there that she begins to build herself up again, with the unexpected help of Boone.

Boone has his own secrets and I did not see the twist coming at all!! It literally made me cry, knowing the loss and heartache he has to endure. Both of these characters are quite broken and lean on each other to heal. But it is hard to do when you cannot forgive yourself.

I loved how these two slowly opened up to one another. They gradually told each other about their pasts and built a connection only those in their situation can understand. It’s a very difficult time for both of them and their addictions are always in the back of their minds.

When reading Losing Track, I could feel the emotion that Trisha had put into this story. There are many difficult situations that she wrote throughout this book and my heart would break each and every time. There are some sweet moments too and although it takes time, they do find some comfort with one another. The ending, well it had my bawling my eyes out, so be prepared when you pick this beauty up!!
