One ring plus one wild night equals one crazy love
Sherry Robicheaux loves men. She loves love. And she loves an adventure. So when she meets a mysterious man while working backstage at a country music concert in Vegas, she’s all about what’s happened in Vegas staying there.
Country music superstar Tyler Blue just wants a weekend of anonymity…though there’s something about the spunky waitress with the streaks of purple hair that tempts him like no other. Until the next morning, when they both wake up with fuzzy memories…and rings on their fingers.
Convincing Sherry to maintain the ruse for his public image isn’t the hardest part—it’s reminding himself that their time spent playing husband and wife in her small town of Magnolia Springs can’t last. Tyler’s first love will always be music—and the road is no place for a sweet downhome girl.

This is the first book I have read in the Love and Games series and the title snagged me immediately! I love reading these kinds of stories where too much alcohol leads to waking up with a hangover and rock on your finger! So there was no way I was passing this read up… and also, it totally could’ve happened to me!! lol
Sherry is a funny and bubbly girl to read about and I loved how she ran through her reasons to go to Vegas. Although she flew there for work, she planned on a fling with a roadie at the Blue's concert. There she met Tyler and the sparks between them were immediate. Tyler I really liked! He knew he was keeping Sherry in the dark, and planned on telling her the truth about his identity, but he enjoyed spending time with her without the complications his status brings. In the end it was too late and he told her he'd fix it, but his team talks him into keeping up the charade to further his career. It was entertaining to see him confront Sherry with his proposal, but she counter offered and I knew the sexual tension would sky rocket.
The whole story was entertaining from start to finish! It was great to see this backwards marriage develop into a great friendship/relationship. Their public displays of affection brought them closer together and they learned so much about each other and themselves. They were able to relax around each other and enjoyed all the time they spent together.
Surprisingly, this is the first book of Rachel Harris' that I have read and I enjoyed being swept away in the world she created. The characters are easy to connect to and with a character like Sherry; she was able to inject a nice amount of humour into the story. You can definitely read this book as a standalone. Sherry's siblings featured in the previous books and have found their partners, so it was good to see them in this book and support Sherry. You can see that they are all close. I will definitely like to go back and see how their relationships formed. If you are looking for a light-hearted romance, I would definitely recommend this book!

I love this trope and it sounds like Ms. Harris did a great job with it. I've been meaning to try this series (can you believe I've managed to refrain from one-clicking it?!?) and I really wanna read this installment. Could have happened to you, huh?? You must explain! ;)
ReplyDeleteI just read Rachel Harris's Seven Day Fiance and thought it was super cute. I definitely want to check out the other ones.
ReplyDeleteI one-clicked the first book in this series a few days ago, so I'll read it first, but I'm glad you liked this one. It bodes well for the series ;)
ReplyDeleteThis is not something I would normally jump at, but my name is Sherry and I have spent a lot of late nights (if there is such a thing in Vegas) partying in Vegas so I would definitely have to give it a shot.

I don't think I've tried any of her books before although Entangled usually has great love stories so I have no doubt that this is indeed a solid read.
ReplyDeleteI've been seeing this book all over the place lately and I love the title! I really love this trope - get married one drunken night and then fall in love. It's always entertaining - I'm glad you enjoyed it :)
ReplyDeleteLOL I love those too! It's so fun to see how they react to that happening. I've got a few of hers on my tbr list. One day hopefully I'll get to them all :)
ReplyDeleteDid you see the movie What Happens In Vegas? ^^ Since you like reading those kinds of things maybe you'll also movies like that? Never read a book of this author but will abosolutely check this series out. Lovely review, Nomi. :)
ReplyDeleteLola @ Hit or Miss Books
Yes! this sounds like a close to perfect read for me, Naomi! I love it when things don't happen as planned, and where there are mistaken identities, and stuff happening backwards (getting married first, falling in love later)
ReplyDeleteThanks for the great review, I'm adding this whole series to my TBR, Naomi!
Happy reading :)
Nice review. Been hearing good things about this. I should give Rachel a read :)
ReplyDeleteI've been seeing this one around and it just seems like it would be a nice, funny, romance to read! The whole "backwards marriage" does sound like a fun element to play with!
ReplyDeleteLovely review!

I could be that crazy woman, who goes out for a good time, may drink a little too much and could wake up in that predicament!! lol You never know! Lucky those days are behind me!
ReplyDeleteIt's a sweet read, you'd like it. Not too deep!
Yeah, this was cute too. If you liked that, you'll enjoy this one too.
ReplyDeleteIt's a sweet read, not too deep or intense.
ReplyDeleteHehe.. you may relate to this one then Sherry. It was fun!
ReplyDeleteIt was a good one. I quite often pick up and Entangled read for their good romances.
ReplyDeleteYes, I love that the love came last! I always snicker when I read these types of books!
ReplyDeleteI hope you get there too, although I know they won't have the steam level I know you enjoy *wink*
ReplyDeleteI did enjoy What Happens In Vegas. It is like that, but the characters truly like each other, so that's the difference. And it wasn't about money for them. Thanks Lola!!
ReplyDeleteYes, it was all backwards... that's why I enjoy it so much!! Thanks Lexie!
ReplyDeleteYou should. She writes cute books!
ReplyDeleteThanks Magen. It was a fun one and the building of this relationship was amusing. I am a little stunned you haven't read any of Rachel's books. Give one a whirl!
ReplyDeleteI did. It was sweet!
ReplyDeleteIt is all catching, I tell ya! It was a fun light read!
ReplyDeleteYeah... I'm all for stupidity and not thinking things through at times!! lol
