Review ~ Nova and Quinton: No Regrets by Jessica Sorensen

Title: Nova and Quinton: No Regrets
Author: Jessica Sorensen
Series: Nova #3
Genre: NA Contemporary Romance
Published: April 15th 2014

Today is the first day of Quinton Carter's new life. The toxic guilt of his past left him in pieces-but one girl unexpectedly put him back together. Thanks to Nova Reed, Quinton can finally see the world with clear eyes. She's the reason his heart is still kicking behind the jagged scar on his chest. And he would love to have her in his arms every minute of the day . . . but he's not ready yet.

Playing drums in a band and living with her best friends are just some of the highlights of Nova's life. But the best new development? Talking to Quinton on the phone each night. She wishes she could touch him, kiss him, though she knows he needs time to heal. Yet shocking news is on the way-a reminder of life's dark side-and Nova will need Quinton like he once needed her. Is he strong enough to take the final leap out of his broken past . . . and into Nova's heart?

Sigh… what a way to end Nova and Quinton’s story! I just loved every moment of this book as we see both Nova and Quinton get their lives back on track. They are both in different states, but find a way to help each other by text or phone calls. It was beautiful, although challenging at times.

Nova is busy with her school work, volunteer work and being there for everyone, especially Tristan. She juggles everything and wants to help everyone she can. She is such a kind person and really goes above and beyond, considering all she’s been through. She just finds it hard to open up and at some times was on the verge of shutting down, but she realises the signs and manages through them.

Quinton, well I am so glad he had the courage to get clean. He is grateful for everything Nova has done, but is unsure of how he will be when he finally sees her again, now that he is sober. He builds his own life in Seattle, living with his father, but things soon change and he struggles with his emotions and his future.

It was great to see this sober Quinton. He goes through so much and I love how Jessica wove this particular part of Nova and Quinton’s lives. Things are hard from them, but they manage to find comfort with one another and they have plenty of support around them. I am happy with the ending and was shocked by a few details that I learned as well. I am looking forward to reading Tristan’s spinoff’s as he deserves to find happiness and closure too.
