Nova Reed can't forget him-Quinton Carter, the boy with the honey-brown eyes who made her realize she deserved more than an empty life. His pain was so similar to her own. But Nova has been coming to terms with her past and healing, while Quinton is out there somewhere, sinking deeper. She's determined to find him and help him . . . before it's too late.
Nova has haunted his dreams for nearly a year-but Quinton never thought a sweet, kind person like her would care enough about a person like him. To Quinton, a dark, dangerous life is exactly what he deserves. And Nova has no place in it. But Nova has followed him to Las Vegas, and now he must do whatever it takes to keep her away, to maintain his self-imposed punishment for the unforgivable things he's done. But there's one flaw in his plan: Nova isn't going anywhere . . .

After Novas heartbreaking story, I knew Breaking Quinton would be too. In Breaking Nova I learnt that Quinton had been through some tough times, but his life is even tougher in this book. His drug use is pretty bad and it’s a little disturbing to see how addicted he is to it. He has no respect for himself and it’s mind-blowing to see how low he is.
Nova wants to get back in contact with Quinton because he was the person that put her back on track to get better. She knows it will be a difficult task, but she still feels connected to him and wants to try. She is a determined girl and it was incredible to see her will power and being able to face her old demons too. She has transformed into a beautiful person who has plenty of passion and strength. But no one wants to be saved if they don't want to be.
Quinton is not the only one in trouble; Tristan is in bad shape too. They are still with Dylan and Delilah and they are all hard into drugs now. They do unbelievable things just to get their next high. They have landed into trouble with dealers and often fight amongst themselves. But things are not always unpleasant, as Nova is able to bring a bit of light, especially for Quinton.
Jessica Sorensen always blows me away with her heart-shattering books. This Nova series in particular hits some major dark spots and focuses around drugs, death and how the characters cope with it. It isn’t a happy read, but I am hopeful that both characters will get past their demons to actually find some sort of happiness in the end. I have grown emotionally attached to the characters as they have faced their dark issues and I am looking forward to see if they can get past them. Nova and Quinton’s journey has been difficult, but it’s not quite over yet. I am looking forward to see how they go in the next book.
I received a copy of this book from the Publisher, via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
