What a thrilling sequel! After the
heartbreaking ending of Surrender Your Love, I had to dive into the next book
in the series to see how things turned out for Brooke and Jett. Trust was
broken and the characters had to work on that to rebuild the relationship again
and it's not easy.
What I liked was how
hard Jett had to work to get back into Brooke's good books. There is no way
that their chemistry could disappear, but she kept the distance between them.
However, no matter how hard she tried, her mind had control of that traitorous
body for a change!! Lol! It would only be a matter of time before Jett was able
to get back into her life (and her bed).
I already liked Jett
a lot in the first book, but seeing how much he cares for Brooke and he proved
his worth and revealed secrets from his past so we could understand him that
little bit more. And he is a true romantic! My god, some of the places he took
Brooke to had me swooning..... What can I say, except that I loved it..... Mind
you, he has wicked fingers too and knows his way around a woman's body! He is
not only rich and a perfect gentleman, but knows his way around a kitchen, what
woman doesn’t love that?!?!
Brooke's new life is
a great aspect in this story as we travel back to Italy so that she can settle
things. The plot had me on the edge of my seat as I never knew what was going
to happen. I was jumping at shadows along with Brooke and the car ride had me
gripping the couch, just to hold on. It is very intense in places, and I loved
every second of it.
I really love JC's
writing as she has me so engrossed with the book I find it so hard to put down!
The world building is fabulous and I feel that I am like a fly on the wall
seeing the world exactly how she described it. The ending was fantastic, and
I'm glad things turned out the way they did. The story is far from over and I'm
looking forward to seeing how things turn out in the next book.
