Book Description

There's always the one…

He's one person throughout life you think about every so often, the one who leaves his unique indelible mark on you, the person with whom you need closure.

For Margaret Collins that person was Mike Taylor. After he broke her heart seventeen years ago, she left everything she knew and reinvented herself. With a new home, a new look and a new name, Riley Williams is now an up and coming journalist given the assignment to interview a Mike Taylor. She never suspected he would be her Mike Taylor.

With Mike having no hint of Riley's true identity, she must decide if she will make him pay for sins he doesn't remember committing, or if she can wipe away the past and be with the one man who she has always wanted?

Can she finally have closure?

My Review

This is the second book that I have read by Kim Carmichael and I have enjoyed both books immensely! Closure is a journey of two people that have an immediate connection when they initially meet for an interview. The catch is that they knew each other in high school, but only one of them remembers! It’s an entertaining read as the characters learn more about each other, but are they able to forgive and find closure.....

Riley is a reporter for a small magazine company and steps in for her unavailable boss for an interview with Mike Taylor, who happens to be the person who broke her heart in the final few weeks of high school. When she moved on and went to college, she left her old life behind, changed her appearance and her name. After all the years apart, Mike still has an effect on her and her traitorous body knows it.

Riley is a bit of a cheeky character as she kind of messes with Mike because he doesn't connect Riley with the girl from high school. It was amusing to see her toy with Mike and make him step out of his comfort zone. He still has a lot of the same traits because he likes to be in control, follow the rules and he doesn't like surprises. Riley takes charge a few times and he finds it very hawt!

Closure is a pretty fast paced read and I was able to read it in one afternoon. It alternates between POV's, so we get to see the affect Riley has on Mike as he tries to understand why he is so attracted to her. The sexual scenes are really good (even the phone sex.....) but I thought the book was more about their growing connection not the sex, but the sex did help! Fans of contemporary romances would enjoy this book!!

I received a copy of this book from the Author in exchange for an honest review.

About the Author

Kim Carmichael began writing eight years ago when her love of happy endings inspired her to create her own.  She has a weakness for bad boys and techno geeks, and married her own computer whiz after he proved he could keep all her gadgets running.  When not writing, she can usually be found slathered in sunscreen trolling Los Angeles and helping top doctors build their practices.
