Isolated in a cabin in the woods, Snow attempts seduction and Seth discovers even werewolves are vulnerable to passion’s temptation. Seth’s angry struggles against his desire drive him away, but his over-protective alpha nature won’t let him abandon a female in distress.

Guest Post

Hi Naomi! Thanks for having me as your guest today and letting me blog about one of my favorite topics, sexy alpha males. Don’t get me wrong, there is always room to read about sexy beta males, but they don’t tend to be my focus. I like strong, dark, tortured heroes so I was tickled hot pink when my editor asked for Seth’s story.

Seth is my bad boy anti-hero in Snow and the Seventh Wolf. Maybe anti-hero is too strong a word, but he was the villain in my previous book, Little Red Riding Wolf, so he had to stretch to become the hero. But that’s what I love about paranormal. The men smolder with more than sensuality, they have real angst and pain.

Real angst and pain? I hear you, you’re wondering how any of it can be real when it’s set in a fairy tale setting. When you twist reality and twist plots, when you have werewolves and magic and happily-ever-afters, can the pain be real? That’s one of the things about paranormal romance, under the creative settings and world building are real personalities. People dealing with the same issues and problems that we deal with in our mundane worlds. Loss, death and heartbreak.

Somehow, when you read a really good book, it moves you. The characters agony can be felt and you can’t wait for them to find their way through their labyrinth of pain and reach redemption and love. That’s what we read for. And of course, if you read hot paranormal romance you get a bonus. Spicy exciting tales of adventure and shapeshifters and love.

For me, the story of a strong man learning to open his heart up to pain and loss, to become vulnerable for the love of a woman, that is the epitome of romance. Romance of my favorite kind; hot, alpha and very sexy.

Thanks Jessica for your great post!! Sexy Alpha males are definitely my favourites to read about..... mmmmm!!

Fraternizing with humans is taboo, but when feisty werewolf Red runs into hunky new forest ranger Evan Brewster, she jumps on the opportunity to let loose her desires. 5. I have a weakness for wolves. I can't help it. I've never read this author before but she sounds like she writes my kind of book!

  6. I think I have book one in this, I definitely remember wanting it! So I am super excited to see a book two. And to see the villain in book one become the hero in book 2, that alone is something worth reading! For me, once I like or dislike a character, it often stays that way - but my problem is I usually like the bad ones haha. Thanks for an awesome guest post and the giveaway!

  7. Luckily Seth is redeemable, how else do you think those bad boys make good? It was so much fun having him change and still keep some dark alpha traits it's one of my favorites I've written. Good luck on the giveaway!

  8. The Grimms are pretty grim so it is fun to take them and twist them. Snow White is a Grimm tale but my first book, Little Red Riding wolf is Perrault, and definitely a warning to avoid those strange men in the woods! Hope you enjoy them. :)
